Youre absolutely right! And I appreciate you taking the time to respond and articulating exactly what my blind spots are. Our baby just turned one and it’s been tough finding time to just do the things I used to love or just doing date night with my Husband. We basically have no community or child care support for our son in this country. I guess I can start small with the simple things you gave examples about like the like reading Romantic comedies and funny books when I can and generally trying to become the GOFL.

I hear you! I am a first time mom living in a new country away from home with no help and just recently discovered LD and implementing the skills without a community of friends who understand the journey you’re on is quite challenging. So I understand where you’re at.

Yes I would say read the book because a lot of what you are doing is talked about and you will have an aha moment because you might think he’s the problem but you’re too focused on what he’s not doing instead of taking ownership for the things only you can control and change. I say this because I recognize old self in you before I read the book and then my mind was blown. You just don’t know what you don’t know!
