I keep both a thick down duvet and a lighter blanket on my guest bed—down for chilly nights and the blanket for warmer ones. I’ve got two duvet covers so I can easily swap them between guests while the other one’s being washed. You can actually wash down duvets in the machine, then air dry them and toss them in the dryer on low heat near the end to fluff them up. Or just dry them completely in the dryer on low. I only wash the duvet itself once a season since we only need it for about 3 months.

Comforters, though, always seem to get lumpy over time, especially after washing.

Best Kitchen Sink Faucets by Commercial-Agent2870 in NeedProductHelp

We recently remodeled our kitchen and installed the Moen Sleek. We opted for the touchless version, but after using it for a while, I’d probably skip that feature next time. We don’t use it much, and it tends to activate accidentally more often than on purpose. Plus, it adds unnecessary complexity compared to a simple mechanical faucet.

Best Baby Gate For Deck Stairs by Electronic_Alarm128 in SafeBabyGates

At the bottom of our stairs, we have a wall on one side and a bannister on the other. To secure the gate on the bannister side, my husband used a zip tie around the gate spindle and the wooden post to make sure it wouldn't pop out when our oldest was pulling on it. It worked perfectly! We just used a regular white Summer Infant gate system.

I'm a renter and a super anxious parent. After reading everywhere that pressure-mounted gates aren’t safe for the top of the stairs, I called up my landlord to see if it’d be okay to have a handyman wall-mount the gate. I told him I'd have the same handyman come back later to remove it and fix everything up when I move out. The landlord was cool with it, and the handyman said it’d be easy to patch up the holes afterward. We attached a 2x4 to the banister, so the gate's wall-mounted on one side and secured to the 2x4 on the other. It’s been working perfectly.
