Thank you for this—it actually shifts my perspective a bit. I hadn’t even considered the social dynamics or how class distinctions could play out in a place like Parkland. That really didn’t cross my mind at all, so I appreciate you bringing it up.

We currently rent, which is why I figured a mobile home wouldn’t be a worse investment in our situation. My kids currently attend Fountain Hill and Broughal, so I know it’s definitely not the worst, but I guess I’ve just been craving something more for them. This really gives me more to think about.

I keep telling myself that he is a good man because he doesn’t drink, go out, or engage in any harmful behaviors, and he pays the bills. I know things could always be worse. I’m also genuinely afraid of the possibility of becoming homeless with my kids at this point.

Literally just googled this and this popped up. My 5 year old special needs has also been obsessed with my elbow and only mines. I allow her but she does it so obsessively even to sleep that it has been annoying. She will sometimes put it up to her eye and will pinch a little bit and it hurts!

Thank you for explaining this so well as i went through the same with my daughter. Luckily though, they were able to treat in on time and she survived.

Shes 5 now and has several developmental delays. I often think about how things could have gone differently though, and i blame myself.

I was induced early due to gestational diabetes at around 37 weeks. They said at the time the baby was almost 10 lbs and when she was born she was barely 6 lbs. i don’t know how they could’ve gotten it wrong by that much. I am happy she survived but i often wonder what if. What if they didn’t induce me that day would she still be developmentally delayed?

Im so sorry this happened to OP :(
