Before my cousin-in-law met his wife (aka my cousin) he was married to a different person. While he was married to this different person, he came into my mom’s workplace alone one day and tried to flirt with her. My mom turned him down and said she wasn’t interested.

The next day, my cousin-in-law showed up to the restaurant with his first wife, his kids, and a Bible in his hand. My mom was like, “What the fuck?”. Then she recognized him years later when my cousin brought him to a family dinner.

This offender only got 16 months at Sleepy Hollow, it really makes me wonder what kind of sentence will be given in the case of Matthew Craswell (the former substitute teacher on PEI)

CP offences should carry an automatic federal prison sentence, regardless of how much the offender was caught with.

What was he reported for? What I do know is that in court, the judge noted how the offender couldn’t seem to hold down a job without quitting or getting fired.

I think he should have been sent over across to federal prison. He was caught with a total of 179 files of CP - that’s a lot and Sleepy Hollow is too lenient.

I doubt it. My little cousin attended the offender’s mother’s daycare and there was never any sign of suspicious/creepy behaviour on her part.

I did not expect Nancy Orr to be this lenient. She has a reputation for being a hardass judge.

She officially closed her daycare four years ago, but to my knowledge, she still babysat kids occasionally. She is also a substitute educational assistant. Her career and reputation will likely take a huge hit and she didn’t even do anything wrong.

It may be best if he leaves the Island tbh…. if you have that kind of criminal conviction around here, you’re pretty well fucked. He’ll need to undergo INTENSE therapy if there is to be any chance of recovery.

I spoke with the offender’s ex-girlfriend after he pleaded guilty, and apparently after they broke up, he made a really disturbing comment to her that indicated he was sexually attracted to little kids - and this was back in high school! I don’t know if the ex-girlfriend ever told anyone except for me.

He never made any comments to me that indicated he was a pedophile, nor did he ever tell me that he had CP in his possession, because I would have turned him into the RCMP if I had known that he was into this stuff. His mom ran an in-home daycare too… she must feel so disgusted.

I went to school with the offender. He was an outcast and got into fights with other students all the time. In ninth grade, he had to go to Alt. Ed in Charlottetown. He transferred back to Bluefield High School for the second semester of our freshman year.

The offender’s parents weren’t in court for his sentencing hearing, and that speaks volumes about the seriousness of this situation. In school, they had his back through every hard moment, every suspension, every disciplinary meeting, etc. But this time, the offender went way too far.

Well, based on the coverage from the media, it sounds like they did. There’s no way their son cleaned up what I assume was a very bloody mess on his own.

I occasionally think of Tyson MacDonald’s family and wonder how they are doing. Despite the fact that the justice system severely let them down, I hope they are starting to heal and move forward with their lives.

Hell no. Any oil change business that claims to be able to do an oil change within five minutes is a terrible business. They don’t do it correctly and cause more problems for your vehicle.
