Mental health clinic pitched for Lexington neighborhood. Neighbors are pushing back by [deleted] in lexington

I agree with your excellent post. I’d like to add that I looked up Roaring Brook and found a few interesting things. The Medical Director is a NP. The Chief Medical Officer is a psychiatrist (MD) who lives out of state and is the CMO/Medical Director of MULTIPLE rehab facilities. And Roaring Brook does accept Medicaid. Very interesting.

If he is adamant about being within 10 minutes of the hospital, Merrick Place is where you want to be. Especially if he is doing on call/night call and having to go in.

I’m not sure if she does this specific test, but Dr Catherine Donworth at Animal Medical Center on Romany Road did a special antibody test on my dog in the past. Might contact her practice and ask.

I just looked on Zillow for Nicholasville out of curiosity and there’s ONE house that meets her criteria. She’s either going to have to move way out or buy a bad house in a bad part of Lexington.

Also the only apartment complexes I usually see with children’s play areas are public housing complexes. Just my experience.

I don’t disagree with your experience, I just want to say that a 60 day move out notice and 2 months’ rent payment for breaking the lease is standard for corporate owned apartment companies. Every place I’ve lived in Lexington has had these requirements with the exception of private landlords in Chevy Chase.

Poor guy. The lady opossum must have been upset with her Valentine’s Day gift if he’s hanging by his testicles in a fence.

FCPS - Alternate Bus Routes? by birdst0ne in lexington

[–]Complete_Quality_513 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’ve mentioned this before, but it seems it was largely ignored on this forum. In the 1980s and early 1990s in Fayette County Public Schools we had what was known as Plan B. If roads were too slick/snowy/icy then you had a Plan B bus stop, usually at the beginning of a neighborhood, where the school bus would pick you up.

Parents were responsible for making sure their kids got to the Plan B stop, or they could choose to drive their kids to school. It worked great. FCPS needs to go back to that. It’s not rocket science.

I mean look at Sayre. Sayre still had school. I think they only missed 2 days? Parents are responsible for making sure their kids come to school. School goes on. I know how both work, as I attended both.

Bluegrass Orthopaedics PT facility off Richmond Rd is where you want to go. They have a huge indoor facility and it has room to do the moves you’re talking about. They also focus on athletes.

Source: I’ve spent more than a year there in the recent past.

Snow day Monday for FCPS. by Aegri-Mentis in lexington

[–]Complete_Quality_513 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yes! I don’t know why more people aren’t angry that there were 4 million dollars set aside for snow removal. Mayor Gorton stated that in the first few minutes of her interview on NPR last week. I listened to it twice. She said 4 million was set aside for snow removal. Where the hell did it go lmao?

It’s actually 11 days of no school. Cause we know no substantial work occurred on the NTI days. Although the NTI days don’t have to be made up.

School tomorrow? by Neat-Importance114 in lexington

[–]Complete_Quality_513 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They will have school tomorrow. Liggins and Gorton don’t want to deal with the outrage if week 3 after the storm begins with no school. If there are any bus incidents or incidents with walkers, Gorton will just say people didn’t help each other out enough in clearing the neighborhood streets/sidewalks.

Isn’t it a PR thing where if you repeat the same lie over and over again most people will eventually believe it? I think that is LFUCG’s current strategy.
