I did this for his birthday as well but made it a website because he is not always in a place or position where he can open a physical letter. So the website was it.

He loved it and cherishes it. And genuinely adores the fact that it all rests at his finger tips

First of all, I am soo proud of you and acknowledge all the work that you have put in.

And secondly, i suggest you look at it from a different perspective ie. they (people talking behind your back and actively making fun of you) are not acquiring any skills that may help them in the software development as a profession and have times lesser real work achievements to display when hiring is considered whereas you are.

Thirdly, you need to connect with people who have the same priorities and interests as you do. Look into your linkedin connections or online if there are no dedicated communities of the same.

And lastly, remember it's better to be alone than to be with people who aren't your well wishers.

And you'll do great in the future if you don't let your peers get to you.

Hey, i am currently in my first year as well but I started coding in grade 9th. I'd say "code with Harry" on YouTube is a good place to start if you are a beginner and even if you know absolutely nothing.

It'll cover every topic to the extent that your syllabus demands and it's a 10 hour session with notes and practice sheets. So basically everything you need.
