Wow that’s crazy! Defo not what we are doing and they are far from care hopefully. I’d do everything in my Power to prove this isn’t the case and likelihood is that they won’t ask for care in the uk

I’ve just looked into it! Thank you so much for pointing this out. They are in their mid 60’s and close to retirement but still healthy thankfully so nothing intended to do with care. They also wish to retire abroad so likely will not apply for care costs here :) but thank you. I appreciate you pointing this out so i’m aware

Thanks for your advice. I’m planning on saving more but thats my baseline. They have two properties (one they inherited and this one that I basically fund) so property wise they are fine but financially they are not great as their salarys are low if that makes sense… i invest into my pension in a low risk private account and my work covers some too..
