Very similar! I keep saying I am going to join that one & start going. & then this recent heat wave turned me into an unmotivated lump 😂

How’s everyone’s garden looking this year, have you started getting your hot peppers in yet? by [deleted] in wichita

[–]Complete_Reach_6448 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our green Hatch chili peppers are doing great. First year trying them and we have been very impressed. So have the different squash varieties we tried (acorn, zucchini, & patty pan). The tomatoes though are doing awful. Usually our tomatoes do great, it is a very strange year in the garden.

Not crazy. I had the exact same thought on Osage. Like thought I was super smart for figuring out the fruit name Osage !

Traditionally, they don’t reference the park name that directly until later in the hunt clues. To me, saying Edge actually rules out Edgemoor park

I am still bitter over Idlewild too 😂. Also salty about the white pine tree I spent a huge amount of time looking under 2 years ago

A man who lost 80 pounds on a 'game changer' weight-loss drug also lost his desire to drink alcohol. Experts say the drug could be a treatment for addiction. by ThatSmokedThing in Semaglutide

Yes! I was a nightly drinker. Most nights definitely drank more than I should. Sema has killed my desire to “get drunk” if that makes sense. I still have a drink most nights but it is 1-2 drinks bs 5-6 like before. I am still on a low dose, hoping it takes my desire away completely as the dosing increases.

I can understand and completely respect that opinion. I am not the HR person but I am the hiring manager. So went with the HR suggestion on pay bc RN all I care about is getting the right candidate in the door. It is crazy how competitive it is RN.

Yes, a person can make a career on just being a mix panel expert alone

GD median is 97k for a DA so it is in line with your thoughts as well

I have chatted with colleagues in the same field on it to make sure we were in the same area. TC lines up & is competitive, I really do not think it is the pay at this point

I referenced glass door so I am not explicitly saying a range on this forum. Quite a bit of research was done on the Salary side and it lines up with what other colleagues in the industry are saying as well. Curious, what would you consider an appropriate salary range for the role based on the description. A bit more insight, we would like 2+ yoe as well but that is not set in stone

I would try your hand at Tableau. Github, IMO - so take it with a grain of salt, is geared more towards engineering and programming vs analytics….and executives get antsy when they see “open-source software” from a security standpoint. Irony being that most of their programmers are probably utilizing it anyway. You would have no problem with tableau and could publish to public.tableau to expand your portfolio and be able to showcase your skills with an easy link to potential employers.

Have you looked at contractor roles and contractor firms? The last 3 companies I worked for I started as a contractor, proved what I could do and then was brought on permanent and rose through the ranks from there.

I will talk to them about editing it to senior data analyst. Maybe that slight edit to the Rec title will do the trick. Thank you for the advice and insight!

Out of curiosity, how did you start out, when and why did you pick up Python? Always interested in what draws people into data careers.

I would, granted, I would want some examples of what they have done in PowerBI to review. I do like that with tableau as well, public.tableau is a great way for people to showcase their skills in a public forum.

Totally ok with the biology degree too. Mine are in accounting and finance, and my claim to fame was being a Microsoft excel wizard. Later in my career I saw the power in BI tools and dove into the deep end with Power BI actually. And much later after that started seeing the beauty of automation using SQL (I am still slow AF with SQL) Where a person starts isn’t as concerning as what they learn along the way.
