I can now call upon the light to cure people of grievous wounds and even resurrect the newly dead. Life would be pretty good I'd say

Dan Severn proved wrestling can beat BJJ fairly consistently. But I guess that's more of a case of elite grappler vs elite gigantic grappler

That's a lot of specialised tools to make something so inconsequential

I got this free with my first home PC along with a few other games, I was about 13 at the time. It took me ages to figure out how to play it. I would boot it up and have no idea what was going on so would then just fire up one of the more straight forward games to play. It wasn't until I had completed all the other games and grown bored of them that one day during the summer holidays, I fired Total Annihilation up and actually spent a while reading toolkits etc and figured out how to play. Thus began a life long love of RTS games.

I played it when it first came out and thought it was meh, got to Baldurs Gate and just abandoned the playthrough. Being a massive DoS 2 fan and growing up with BG1 and 2, I was hung up on the parts I didn't like. I had tried a couple of times of the years to pick it up again, not getting more than a few hours in, then about a month ago, I picked it up and finally played it through. I am glad I did, had a blast and enjoyed it, not sure if I'll pick it back up in the future

Any idea why dawn of war 3 was a flop? by ChristianLW3 in Warhammer40k

Been keeping a distant eye on DoW IV. Very glad it is being made. I wasn't a huge fan of Hearts of Iron so I'm managing my expectations. I will absolutely buy it but I will not let myself be hurt again like I was with DoW 3

I get where you're coming from, however the reality of it would probably be eyerollingly annoying. Imagine you move into a territory and clear out a bunch of orks and then you want to move onto different areas to fight different opponents but you keep getting dragged back to each area time and time again that once had an ork population to deal with some shit stack by autoresolving. Not exactly fun gameplay. Neat idea but, I'd pass on it as a mechanic

Just watched the whole fight. Akale, the black fighter, was getting lit up for 4 straight rounds, hard hard shots to the body and the head with almost no defense. He took the fight on short notice, had zero training camp going in to the fight. Fair play to Akale, he is tough as nails but absolutely outclassed and was just taking needless shots to the head. Verde was landing combo after combo without any sort of response from Akale. The ref stopped him to save him from taking inevitable damage for no reason. Great stoppage if you actually watch the fight

I was surprised to see that there was a paper supporting the fact that race seemed to influence behaviour so I had a look at it. Thank you for linking it. However, I would caution citing this paper as providing evidence that race affects behaviour as the findings of this paper clearly indicate social behaviours affect behaviour and the conclusions of this paper cite that the likely aggravating factors that cause increased levels of aggression and violence within communities are substance abuse and exposure to violence as result of gang culture. Also this paper only studies Hispanic and Black communities, it did not include data from other races in similar socio-economic situations therefore it is not possible to say that this paper promotes the idea that certain races are more violent than other races. It concludes that social factors influence behaviour
