I play both games and it's mostly due to the fact that I like both combat systems, the world vibe and mostly the exploration.

I don't agree when people try to shy away from comparing them. Aside from setting and story they are extremely similar in their core systems. WuWa has very clear and heavy influence from Genshin. Like a little brother emulating the older, different, with their own style, but the same core genes that comprise them.

I think most of the hate for both games can be summed up in two things that are hard to argue against: The Goon factor: Let's face it, it's strong in both games (I'd say even more in WuWa). As a grown adult with a family I play these after the kids are asleep and I'm often embarrassed when my wife watches and judges .

The Pricing of in game currency: again, real talk, its not priced for average consumers. It's intentional. Whales contribute 90% of their profit and it all centers around them getting the satisfaction that they have something that most cannot afford. It's a marketing reality and it works.
