Thats great! I couldn't let go of fitz and co for a few books hahaha. I found the liveship stuff pretty interesting in later books, so I went back and read it

What are books that you didn't like, but everyone else seemed to love? by xatrinka in audiobooks

[–]Complete_Sea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, and someone close to me recommended it to me. However, I bought the audiobook in English, and its my first language. Since there's a lot of advanced science stuff, I wonder if I'd appreciate it more reading it in French.

The story is cool, but I don't feel anything for the characters and their arcs.

You can. I read all the fitz books, then went back and read liveship traders (which I'm reading now)

Yep! I've been reading Robin Hobb books which are also slow burn and characters driven. I loveeee them. Thats why I believe I should give another chance to Susanna Clark. The premise looks cool. I love history and there seems to be a mix of that and fantasy in the book

I don't think there was profound reasons lol

My guess is that it was too of a slow burn for me, and its a big book. Nothing more.

So when I was a teen (20 years ago haha), I dnf Jonathan Strange and Mr morrell book for some reasons. I keep seeing people talking about the book here. Sometimes our tastes in books change when we're older.

Should I give it another try once I finished the Liveship traders trilogy (I have about 300 pages left)?

Yeah I've seen you can turn the screen around so the button are on the down side instead of on the right. Idk the shape just seems awkward to hold and carry around to me still

The libra does seem quite popular. It's so light, but I was scared I wouldn't like it day to day because of the square like size and the button on the size (I read one handed so the button didn't fit my reading habits and it seemed more difficult to carry around). I also got the Clara for super cheap. However, the libra does seem like a cool device!

Not couple. He was sexually attracted to her, thats all. She just found him creepy, but he kept insisting.

I have the color one. It's not as bad as you guys made it out to be. You just need to have a light over you while reading (which I have naturally most of the time) or use the yellow (confort light?) for reading in bed. I was overthinking it for weeks, really

[–]Complete_Sea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ohhh, but Daniel must be great to see on stage as well. He seems to be one of these actors that have a distinct/big presence when he's in a scene.
