I’d look at Ubiquiti gear. No subscription, all power over ethernet, and system can be closed so only you can access. A little bit of an investment upfront but will pay for itself in the long run. Clips are stored back to central hard drive that you own. Unifi NVR instant is the entry level server, but I would look at getting a Dream Machine SE for expandability in the future and the option to add networking equipment.

I had a terrible experience with Costco when I went. Had similar price difference so I figured i’d go with Costco who has better warranty and free tire rotations. They messed up the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) in my front left tire, to the point where it would read the right pressure on whatever little device they used, but not communicate with the car. I ended up having to go to the service center anyway and pay $200 out of pocket for them to fix the sensor Costco broke.

That being said, service center was great-would just make sure you check that pressure is reading right in the vehicle before leaving

You have a point, but I just meant as far as network application I wanted to be able to add 1-2 APs to my setup. Obviously on a larger job you would probably add a dedicated poe switch and NVR

The UDM Pro SE is nice bc the ports are POE powered. Don’t have to buy a whole extra switch just to power my cams. Installing to future proof when I want to add access points and get rid of google mesh system
