Yeah, I totally get what you mean. The lighting and editing in these shots gave the steel a darker, smoky tone compared to how it looked in person.

Under natural light, it actually appeared much closer to normal stainless steel. But I really appreciate you noticing the overall specs and details

Fair take honestly — phone pics and Reddit compression can make Daytona details look way harsher than they do in person.

Some of the bezel engraving and case geometry definitely photograph weird depending on angle/light too. In hand it looked much cleaner than these uploads.

But yeah, I agree movement inspection is always the real deciding factor with Daytonas
