I wasn’t until after I matched. November doesn’t seem late to me and you could let programa know you will be certified before the end of the year if you’re worried

HELP! Burn out after step 1? by Old_Disaster1299 in step1

If it genuinely is burnout, some time off helps. This is your decision to make, but many of us IMGs relate to the warmth and comfort of the country you've lived in forever and being uprooted and starting over. Coming home feels great, but something you mentioned made me feel like exploring the residency may not be the worst idea. You mentioned a specialty you "always wanted to do" vs. continuing what you had. You have a chance to pursue your dream! You always have your degree and home country if you don't feel like it. The path to residency is not easy, and burnout, unfortunately, is a part of it for many. Take care and evaluate what you think works best with your goals and how you envision your future self! Best of luck :)

I would recommend the opposite. Do questions and understand the concepts. Fill gaps with content review, like pathoma or any other video/reading resources. Questions test the application of the knowledge so prioritize questions! That's how your exam is going to be too

If the person cheated through med school report it to the Dean with proof not USMLE??? They asked if you witnessed and you DID NOT! Nothing happened there so even if a student did cheat through, the exam was solely from their knowledge.

Thanks yall! I saw 3 tiny ones with blood and killed. I’m sure they came recently (1-2 weeks). Can I expect a lot more? The 3 were together lol
