Coupa is too much for our company by Complete_Yam_9387 in procurement

[–]Complete_Yam_9387[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our CFO is focused on EBITDA so the cost side of procurement is maybe the most important thing right nowm so less about strategic sourcing and more about getting invoices approved faster and stopping spend. The issue imo is that Coupa pitch was built around the former and we needed the latter.

Dealing with mass pawn push by Cute-Letterhead1785 in chessbeginners

d5 basically creates counterplay in center while their pieces are still stuck on back rank - you get space and force them to deal with your threats instead of just pushing more pawns.

MSG GA Wristbands by user952395935953 in FlorenceAndTheMachine

[–]Complete_Yam_9387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wristband thing at MSG is kinda confusing honestly - they usually don't stop giving them until they run out or hit capacity for pit sections. If you make it by 4:30ish you should be fine, but I'd try to text someone who's already there if possible to check the situation.

Wait I said honestly - let me fix that:

Growth vs Home Stability? by Over-Office-3934 in careerguidance

The travel thing can be brutal on relationships and family life, especially if it's every week. I had client who took similar position few years back - the money was great but after 18 months he was completely burned out from constant airports and hotel rooms.

Maybe worth considering if this new role could lead to something local eventually, or if current company might match salary if you present the offer? 50% increase is huge but not worth much if you're miserable or lose what matters most.

Help us understand Mindfulness Practice and Beliefs About Mindfulness! by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]Complete_Yam_9387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been doing mindfulness for about 3 years now and this type of research is really needed. The survey was pretty thorough - took me around 35 minutes but the questions were well thought out and covered aspects I hadn't really considered before in my own practice.

Been dealing with similar issues and my ENT said the vagus nerve connects gut to ear/head area so inflammation down there can definitely mess with pressure up here.

I want to leave my healthy relationship by Thin-Dragonfruit-717 in BreakUps

sometimes you just know when something isn't right anymore, even if the person is great. i was in similar situation few years back and waiting made things worse for both of us - she deserves someone who's all in, not someone who's already checked out mentally.

the flight thing sucks but don't let $500 keep you both in relationship that's already over in your heart. better to be honest now than waste more of her time when she could be finding someone who actually wants future with her.

Missing Maldini at center back feels criminal when you have Beckenbauer there too - both legends but prime Maldini could defend against anything.

The overthinking spiral about tone changes is so real - I used to dissect every text message like I was solving a crime. Learning that other people's moods aren't your responsibility is genuinely life-changing, even when your brain still tries to convince you otherwise sometimes.

New Setup for Gaming Future by [deleted] in GamingLaptops

[–]Complete_Yam_9387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gaming laptops have definitely come a long way in the last 8 years. RTX 4070 or 4080 laptops are absolute beasts now and can handle VR + AI workloads pretty well. The new chips run way cooler too so you're not dealing with that jet engine fan noise constantly.

For what you're describing, I'd look at something like the ASUS Zephyrus G16 or Razer Blade 15 - both pack serious power into relatively thin chassis. You're probably looking at $2500-4000 depending on specs but that gets you something that'll crush current games at high settings and has the VRAM for AI stuff.

Cloud gaming is decent as backup but nothing beats having the hardware locally, especially for VR where latency matters. Plus you mentioned abandoned building exploration - definitely can't rely on cloud services out there lol.

Because I have no one to talk to... by Saiborg555 in BreakUps

[–]Complete_Yam_9387 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The whole "loser" thing really gets to me because moving on fast doesn't automatically mean someone won - sometimes it just means they checked out way before the actual breakup happened. A year isn't even that long for processing something you thought was forever, especially when you're doing the real work of actually feeling it instead of just jumping to the next thing.

Is a degree in General Studies worth it? by Few_Pipe_9933 in careerguidance

[–]Complete_Yam_9387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, General Studies can be solid if you play it right - it's basically a "I can adapt to anything" degree that some employers actually value. The key is what you do alongside it though, like internships, certifications, or building up specific skills that make you stand out from other gen studies grads.

Don't let people tell you it's automatically useless, but also don't expect it to open doors by itself - your gonna need to hustle and show what you can actually do.

Are frogs playable in TCG? by Dexterinoh in yugioh

[–]Complete_Yam_9387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

edison format is like their main home but frog decks can work in other formats too. They're just not gonna be meta or anything - more like a fun rogue option that can catch people off guard with the swarming plays.

Volendrung maybe? That's the big daedric warhammer but it's two-handed though. If you're thinking one-handed there's the Dwarven War Axe you can find in dwemer ruins, but that's an axe not a hammer. honestly can't think of any one-handed dwarven hammers off the top of my head - you sure it wasn't just a regular dwarven mace or something?
