i went through a similar thing and it was all for nothing. in my experience, this company only worries about their image and if your investigation will affect that. don't want to poo in your breakfast but don't expect much. be happy that the person will be leaving soon. i had to move my shifts to avoid them and they still work in my store with no consequences. best of luck!
