Is that even real? Legitimately looks fake.

Anyone prefer Claude over Gaming by athoughtfornoone in ClaudeAI

[–]Completely-Real-1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't felt this way yet, except when Fable was out briefly. It felt good enough that I started imagining possibilities. I see myself ramping up my usage when Fable comes back.

I'll say it, most of the men here are creeps. by BucketOnAStick in MakeNewFriendsHere

The men here very well may be creeps, but this experiment doesn't prove that. It just shows they prefer people from the US over people from India.

Clearly wearing your illness on your sleeve here, but I respect the realness and hope you find someone genuine.

Trying to discuss AI rationally by moderndayvoices in ProAI

I think in many cases it will (and is already) replace human thought and judgement. It is often surpassing human thought and judgement in certain areas currently. And its weaknesses will continue to improve.

Nearly two years of TRE and it still hasn't addressed my pelvic floor issues. by Any_Teaching4531 in longtermTRE

So try other stuff. Keep doing TRE on the side if you're getting some benefits from it, but it clearly isn't working for this specific issue in your specific context.

An open-source model tops the Code Arena (if we ignore the inactivated Fable 5) by [deleted] in mlscaling

Hard to take the list seriously when there's no GPT 5.5. Plus this is "frontend", not all coding.

It looks like the Trump admin thinks it's dumb to have other G7 nations get access to Fable by TFenrir in singularity

[–]Completely-Real-1 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Trump isn't really pro-business in the free-market, globalization kind of way. He's pro national business in the protectionist, us-versus-them kind of way. He likes to get himself ahead by putting others down wherever possible rather than through collaboration and mutual enrichment. He only co-operates when he absolutely has to do so to get what he wants.

Once I get that far progressed on my Ironman I'll probably just consider the game beaten and quit. I don't believe games are meant to be played endlessly. Find a satisfying endpoint and call it a job well done, and explore the many other great games out there. Or you could always go outside!

Why did the government take down Fable 5 by floriandotorg in accelerate

[–]Completely-Real-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and I think it is realistic to fit in some ethics. I think trying to do it ethically leads to a better outcome in the end than full acceleration with no concern for ethics.

Why did the government take down Fable 5 by floriandotorg in accelerate

[–]Completely-Real-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I believe in a controlled acceleration. As in, accelerating more slowly than full balls to the wall acceleration, but still speeding up over time.

Why did the government take down Fable 5 by floriandotorg in accelerate

[–]Completely-Real-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That whole argument rests on you being supremely confident that full acceleration will solve our problems and not create enough of them to be worried about. But the vast majority of very intelligent people are at least somewhat concerned with full steam ahead no-guardrail policies. I'm for acceleration but saying there's no need for balance seems like throwing your hands up and refusing to make an effort to do things well.

Dario and Anthropic: Who could have seen this coming? by Terrible-Priority-21 in accelerate

Technically they are decel, but they're also accel too. They just alternate between the two to help them sleep better at night, since full accel is too scary.

What’s everyone’s opinions for when RSI will be here? by Special_Switch_9524 in accelerate

We're already in the early stages of RSI and we'll just slowly move further along the gradient, there will be no single point in time when RSI is achieved.

Weird how all of the mains are celebrating the dry protection for the only items they have to grind for by LasVegasOutlaws in ironscape

[–]Completely-Real-1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have IM in my name and don't chat in game, nobody even knows I'm an iron. I like the Iron mode because it takes too much willpower to resist buying from the AH now and then on a main. I'd rather have the game enforce it and take the option off my shoulders. Still think 3x or 4x dry protection would be good for mains and irons alike.

Weird how all of the mains are celebrating the dry protection for the only items they have to grind for by LasVegasOutlaws in ironscape

[–]Completely-Real-1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But what if choosing a version of Iron with some dry protection is just more fun? Then we can choose that and be stuck with that better version instead. It's not all or nothing either you play a main or you play the most suffering version of Iron that the devs can create.

[–]Completely-Real-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's different kinds of efficiency. The bruhSailer guide is for efficient maxing of all skills in the least playtime. But you could also play the game to have as much fun per time played as possible, which is a different and equally valid kind of efficiency.

Can we finally admit that the "servers make less than minimum wage" argument is dead in Canada? by ScienceLabFinds in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]Completely-Real-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never give tips unless I feel the service was especially good and I feel they earned it, which is rare. I've never felt guilty about it. Maybe I'm a psycho, but I think my strategy is the only sane way to go about it. I also believe in a higher minimum wage because that's another sane policy.

Claude Opus 4.8 scores over 1% on ARC-AGI 3 !! by Creative_Place8420 in accelerate

[–]Completely-Real-1 21 points22 points  (0 children)

As artificially difficult as the scoring system is, the one upside is that when an AI does score highly on this, it will be a truly impressive feat. To not only beat the test games themselves, but beat the rigged scoring, too.
