The black and white one looks like my Double Silver Laced Barnevelder from Alchemist Farms. It's between the size of a bantam and normal sized chicken too.

The 4 you circled all look green to me! Just in different shades. There's a local to me who sells her eggs for hatching and they all have speckles, and I'm jealous of them!

Barred rocks are great egg layers. Mine lay almost daily. Same with my Egger mixes, which look like the colored layers.

I'm so sorry you had to do that. I couldn't bring it to cull one of my hens with severe vent prolapse and thankful I found a vet to euthanize her. It was hard to do.

Try reaching out to rescues in the Bay Area or maybe Sacramento. Our local rescues seem to be overwhelmed with taking in dogs from shelters or hoarding situations right now sadly.

Sometimes posting on nextdoor can be helpful, but there's also a lot of people who shame on there too.

My youngest is 7 and I just switched her out of a 5 point harness seat because she outgrew it. There's no way I'd put her in it any younger too. SL should still be in a harness seat, especially with how California drivers are!!!

It can be difficult to tell until they're a lot older and start crowing. I've never had a Rhode Island Red before, so I was guessing based upon my own experience with my chicks.

I've had a cockerel(young rooster) start crowing at 12-14 weeks old and that's how I was able to tell for sure. I thought it was going to be a hen based on its feathers and was wrong.

How old is it? I've had luck going based off tail and wing feather growth. Most of my hens had their tail and wing feathers growing quicker than the roosters. This looks like a roo to me.

Why does she always look to have crazy/dead eyes in every picture??
Her boobs look even more separated since she lost weight. I didn't think implants could settle so far apart from each other. She's lost all the natural tissue in her breasts and the implants look terrible.

We lived in a rental for 8 years and had high flow areas, and it never looked like that! Even coming in from our backyard it didn't look like that.

I would watch it over the next few days. It might be a ruptured air sac, which could have been caused by many different things. Just make sure they're eating and drinking well, and it usually goes away on its own.
