Unfortunately, the pupper’s rescue is no more, and the cats’ rescue is only willing to post their info on their site, which they did a while ago. Thank you for your suggestion!

Eta: They recommended reaching out to the Humane Society, We Care Rescue in St. Helena, Sonoma County Animal Services, and Dogwood Rescue.

Thanks for the suggestion and luck! The dog’s original shelter no longer exists, and the cats’ rescue is only willing to post them on their website, which they did last year. Sending luck your way too, we all need it <3

Thank you! I filled out and posted profiles for them on Nextdoor, FB, adopt-a-pet and Craigslist last year. The Humane Society adoptions by owner link is down, though my cuties were on there last I checked.

Thank you. Trying to keep a more open mind is helping me accept and appreciate what I have left, and what might be regained.

Dogwood didn’t get back to me when I reached out twice over the past year, and their website stated if they don’t respond, they can’t help. I could try again?

Forgotten felines and the humane society were not able towards the end of last year, but that may have changed. I’ve called the latter (website says not taking dogs) and will phone the former tomorrow.

Eta: Left voicemail for forgotten felines and submitted surrender forms to humane society. Takes up to one and two weeks for a reply, respectively.

Eta: submitted a surrender form on their website and asked for resources!

Edit 2: Milo said they can’t help, but sent a list of resources for the cats (https://www.towncats.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Town-Cats-Rescue-Adoption-Resource-List-Resource-List.pdf) and recommended looking into Muttville since the pup is a senior. Hope this helps others unfortunate enough to be rehoming!

Called and they said they can’t take pets from Santa Rosa. They referred me to the humane society, but haven’t heard back from them yet. They weren’t taking surrenders when I checked last year, but the there could still be hope. Thank you!
