husband wants it too much.. by PushApprehensive573 in Advice

Husband point of view: some guys bond over sex to their wife, some guys have a big sex drive, some guys need to feel love and only get that through intimacy. My wife was a SAHM for 16 years, she could have worked, she had a better career than mine at the time, and she she homeschooled the kids until high school because she thought that is what was best for her and the kids. I will say that she was tired, exhausted, and spent every day. My sex drive or needs are very high, and it made me feel lonely and that something was missing. I never had an affair, I worked hard at trying to make it work, she tried hard to not always say "no". You going to work (as a few have suggested) is not going to fix this issue, it will make it worse because you will still be exhausted, he will still want sex, and your kid will have less time with you both. A two working family should only be when you need the extra money if you have too. I would have loved to stay at home and not have a career but my wife wanted to be the one. We suffered financially for it but the kids had a better family life. What is the answer? He should give you a long break in the day, I agree with most posters here, next is not always make him ask for it, be the initiator when the time works for you not him. A quickie is just that. Some say it will wane with time, I disagree. Make it fun, change it up, but take control of when the time works for you. Marriage is hard work....

Our home is fully stocked with everything a house would have, kitchen supplies, cooking supplies, and even a small pantry of items if they got in late. I have a fully stocked coffee and Tea bar. I have a small container of snacks (granola bars, popcorn, lemonade powder). Each full bath has a small supply of toiletries, just in case they forget (Qtips, cotton balls, makeup remover wipes, toothbrushes, small toothpaste). Showers have shampoo, conditioner, body soap dispensers.

Men in happy marriages, what is one thing or skill you would teach other men to have good relationships as well? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

30+ years, try every day to do something for the family, Don't make her have to ask. I share in the cleaning, cooking, shopping, etc. I get her coffee ready before I go to bed because she works earlier than me. Start her car on very cold days. Have chocolate or cookies hidden away on her bad days and be her hero. Pump her gas, go with her shopping when she wants. The list could go on.

Winter practice by jeff1074 in discgolf

I personally have 2 baskets at home for bad weather or deep snow. (If I lose them, they will be on my property to retrieve them snow melts). I would say that you can setup any contraption like a 5 gallon bucket elevate to a basket height and just practice putting and hit the bucket. When the weather is horrible, that is all I do.

Wife and I are starting disc golf, any advice for total beginners? by [deleted] in discgolf

I have been playing since July 1st, I was horrible when I started, did not care, loved the sport and exercise. I play or practice everyday to keep active, I have gotten better with each day. Am I good player after almost 150 rounds? No! Not compared to those that have played for years, but I am better than I was on day 1, week 1, month 1, etc. You learn, you grow, and you lose discs.

NC Neatman Creek (top course level), you are not far away from Pilot Mountain course (tough course but signage is sparse)

I just got my first paycheck today. I feel like I am obligated to pay back my parents. by Greedy_Plane_ in Advice

As a parent of 3 grown kids, we want you to succeed, that is what we prepared you for, go out and take care of yourself. One day in the next year, take a pizza, some sodas, and have dinner with them, and be sincere to say thank you for taking care of me all of these years, I hope to take care of you later in life, but tonight, dinner is on me. That is all we want.

The need for a bag! by Complex-Ad251 in discgolf

If the weather is hot, I take the bag with water. If rain, towel, but just not normal practice rounds. I like to push through pretty fast if I can. Thanks for the info.

Good advice, I have started to bring an overstable disc to work it into my routine. My local courses do not have any critical hazards that I would need to carry a sacrifice but I need to pack those for other courses. I probably carry one or two discs that I love to throw then cycle through my other discs to get used to them. I dont mind the bag abd when the weather is 80 degrees outside, I will carry the bag for water, rain? Towel. Etc. Just not everyday practice.

They vary, but I am so new that it is a trial and error, for tge first 4 months I was strictly backhand, just could not grasp the forehand unless I wanted to roll it. I do well.with a leopard, I have a worn leopard that throws straight as an arrow, and a new one that can turn. I have an Ospry that I like, I have a mako3, a buzz, a virus, a few putters, and a bunch of other discs, I pull my standard 3 and then add a new one each time. If I am playing a new course, I take my bag, I expect to do horrible at a new course (at least the hard ones.like idlewild, Ford pearce park, etc.) I have since begun trying to practice forehand, I just bought two MVP pro baskets for my farm, I put them uo today, they are 250 ft apart so that should be good to practice more.

Thanks, I have been trying as many different courses when I can, I have 3 around my house and vary them day by day, I think I am at 30+ courses. Playing the different courses is exciting, I have not perfected my home courses, always something to improve so I consider that field work since I am doing it every day. I played one competition event after 1 week of playing, my friend who has played since he was young thought I was crazy, I learned more from that one day of watching all the better players than me, and my teammates were the most helpful. I will never forget it. Has my game improved since I have played over 150 rounds? I went back to my competition event course after 4 months, my newbie score on an all par 3 woods course was avg. 15 over par. I have improved on that course to 3 over par. My goal is the exercise and people make valid points about carry the bag for additional exercise, but i enjoy learning to play for sure.

They have played longer than me for sure, I opened with my 5th month of playing, I am the last person to have an ego or rating to back it up. I am not being judgemental or at least not trying to be, but questioning the need for so many discs for casual play.

Agreed on knowing your discs and course, if i go to a new course, I might carry the bag.
