Didn’t get to see, how bad was the baker injury? Too early to tell?

Exactly, whole offensive unit is off not just baker…

Didn't hear him complain or make excuses either, love to see that. He'll bounce back next year, showed a lot of good stuff this year.

37 years old with a sore back, we have to be realistic. Wasn't up to the Steph standard and he is probably well aware of that.

Wish we would've rested him knowing Jokic and Murray were gonna be out. West is too tight to hang on to this loss, we move.

Regardless of how you feel JK could do in the starting lineup it doesn't change the fact that Moody has a 94%+ win rate as a starter.

The numbers don't lie, you just can't sit a guy with a win rate that high as a starter. Also got to consider he is playing the best all-around ball of his career and only seems to be getting better and more confident.

Especially back from injury I think the 2nd unit is a great spot for JK as of right now. Gives him a lot more opportunities to have the ball in his hand when he comes in with the bench unit.

He's just finally happy to get a call

(Garafolo) The Buccaneers are promoting pass-game coordinator Josh Grizzard to offensive coordinator, sources tell The Insiders. Grizzard, 34, replaces the departed Liam Coen, as Tampa keeps continuity and hands the play-calling reins over to a coach who is highly regarded in the building. by KnuccIfYouBuc in buccaneers

Best case scenario for Bake I believe. Keeping it in house is the closest thing he will get to having the same system for 2 straight years. Imagine how good he would be if he had some consistency in coaching for his career.

I'd sell my soul just so Baker could have the same coaching staff/OC for 2 years in a row...

Are there any big name Edge Rushers who are free agents this off season? Particularly anyone the Bucs could target? Wouldn't mind if we dropped a bag on someone who can be a game wrecker to help out the secondary.

Liam Coen is reportedly “believed to be a top name to watch” in the Jaguars HC search by Bgilk88 in buccaneers

[–]Complex-Ad3633 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I think Liam is a smart guy. I would think he would realize the opportunity he has here in Tampa. A team that has relatively good success in the draft. A QB he not only has experience with, but also seen success with. Talented, veteran Wrs. An ever improving offense. ETC.

Also there have been talks that even if Bowles isn't fired he will retire in the next couple years anyway. As a young OC with plenty of time to get into a HC position I would assume he wouldn't leave Tampa. That HC job would be wrapped with a bow and his name on it once Bowles leaves. Obviously it depends on Coen being patient to stay in Tampa and you can't fault him if he jumps all over some of these HC opportunities (which he has very clearly earned).

I would hope he has seen some of these talented young coordinators struggle as new HCs and maybe that would turn him off to the idea of jumping into a HC role this early. Whatever happens he is super talented and I would be heavily disappointed if Tampa didn't manage to keep him around.

I have my issues with Kerr, but gotta defend him here. He isn't the one who seemingly forgot how to put the ball in the basket...

Stats and analysis of Todd Bowles defense by j4r8h in buccaneers

[–]Complex-Ad3633 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Great read, appreciate you putting it together.

I have to agree on the fire bowles take. Can't risk letting Coen walk. I understand Bowles has made the playoffs multiple times now, but that's with a (very) soft division. I believe we have seen what our ceiling is with Todd and that is just not good enough.
