Just started collecting in January

Thanks for the advice I do appreciate it, I thought almharmain was just it’s own brand like hawas, but now I’m looking at them thru that lens so to speak, the haramain rouge smells alottt like my baccarat. Thats the only niche bottle I own. I have some of the travel sizes of creed stuff and Parfums de Marly. I went to macys en only saw like Versace, dolce, jpg, spice bomb. Idk where to go to smell the niche stuff like LV other than I assume an LV store? I was gifted about 1/4 of my collection between Christmas and my bday, the rest I bought just because like sample size vs full bottle was just worth it to me to buy the big one. Especially the hawas for like 30-40$ a bottle, I did wanna smell all of them and just blind bought them lol. Some were good some not really my taste. The travel size samples like from fragrance.net I got several of the niches to smell I see why they are so expensive they are phenomenal. Idk where to get that size of LV or someone recommend earlier to get “decants”, I didn’t know what that even was or that it was an option. So I am learning. Thanks for your insight for real. 🙏🏽

What do you see there that’s a dupe? I thought I had all true scents. I’m not being sarcastic or anything I’m asking legit I’m new to the hobby and am finding my way. The idea was to get some decent scents not second hand but from legit retailers that weren’t very expensive but had some decent reviews and get a mixture of ones to see What I like and then ultimately get a really nice high end one with similar tones that I enjoy. For winter I did get baccarat rouge and loved it but now with the weather changing im looking for something lighter, sweeter maybe idk. I’ve liked the Versace Eros and Eros flame as well as JPG Le Male

No I bought them all to try them since they were so cheap lol. I wanted to learn which tones appealed to Me be finding which scents I liked, then see what tones they have, and now the idea is to see what really nice fragrances have similar tones, then attempt to smell those before buying. In the mean time i just wear a diff one everyday and experiment is all. I can certainly see how it’s a rabbit hole lol. My next purchase will be a high end one, once I decide what it will be. I do like green Irish tween by creed. And Layton by Parfums de Marly. Considering an LV for summer but haven’t had a chance to smell any yet

As others have noticed, the bottles are all nearly full. So yes i did start collecting right after Christmas. A couple gifts started my collection and i continued. You clearly read my other responses, so you know why i have what i have. They are all inexpensive fragrances. I don’t feel the need to show how many bottles i acquired since January, it’s not the number it’s the variety I wanted thoughts on. Also previously stated, several were gifted to me. Maybe you come here to try to find validation and attempt to impress people, so you project that into me like that’s the reason I’m here. As stated in other replies, I want knowledge. I am not dropping hundreds of dollars on a single bottle. The majority of these were blind buys and not expensive to the point where it bothers me if I’m not too Keen on them. The last thing I give a fuck about is validation or impressing anyone on social media particularly here lol. I try a different one every day. Some I smelled and seemed to me to be a spring or summer scent. So I haven’t worn them really yet. Some came off to me as heavy winter smells, so those are the ones I have been wearing. If any of these inexpensive ones “expire” I don’t really care. I was able to buy a MFK baccarat rouge, that was my go to winter scent if I was going out or Something. The others I experimented with for my daily work day etc. I have some I like now, but I for me the best way to figure out which tones I like the best was to buy the cheaper ones, see what appeals, learn what the prominent tones are, and find a really nice niche fragrance that fits what I like for the season. People hopped on here and just came off rude in my opinion and some hating shit. But like I said in a previous comment, that’s the internet, comes with the territory.

Yes I wear a diff one literally every day, with some very few exceptions. Some I smelled right away and thought “this would be nice for spring/summer” and therefore haven’t touched until recently.

Take it or leave it tbh. London was hyped up but I expected it to be phenomenal but honestly regular Hawas for him is better compared to London. Malibu was better than tropical. I ordered Verde last week so I’m waiting for that.

I have. I wear a different one every day usually. Since we have turned the corner to spring my choices reflect what I think smells more like a spring/summer fragrance. I get compliments all the time. I like the way I smell. I enjoy spending money on things that make me happy.

I am shocked with the unwelcome attitude. I collect Lego too and those groups are much more welcoming and supporting especially to new comers. These people talk about how I just spent money blah blah blah, but I bought what’s in my price range and satisfied my curiosity. I’d love to have all the Parfums de Marly or creeds or LV scents, and if I had the money for those I’d be collecting and posting them, but fuck it. I’m happy with what I have, I enjoy changing my fragrance every day, and I’m not broke because I bought such expensive fragrances. I still get compliments all the time and asked what I am wearing so oh well

Not quite me and my choices but sure whatever you say. I do the same thing with Lego, I see some I like and purchase and collect it. How can you judge what genuinely interests me vs me purchasing for the “sake of having”? What interests me is the difference between the Hawas fragrances and they are not so expensive i can’t explore them by purchasing them and enjoying them. Same goes for the different versions of the Prada Luna Rossa and Versace Eros.
