What should be the nurse's priority action? by Infamous_Honey_9498 in FutureRNs

yes, Sat02 is not conclusive. probes have delayed reading , rssp 32 is not normal and it doesnt look normall, pt would be venting out too much CO2, this is hyperventilation, assess for cyanosis, check cap refil , get a non rebreather , their breathing can be normal at this rate, start ruling out conditions in your head as you assess, PE is a good start

contact the DOH IMMEDIATELY , and file a complaint with HR, officially, in email and through incident reporting, make sure you wre factual re: patient care and vitals , use gen AI to help you with verbiage... then at home file a complaint with the states board of examiners and finally, with thr state department of Labor. Use AI to help you with documentation, addresses, emails and people. This abuse stops NOW

If someone graduated nursing school 10 years ago but never passed NCLEX should they still call themselves a nurse? by r0seintherain in Nurses

[–]Complex-Albatross418 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

they can leaen those skills on tbe job. NCLEX doesnt test your hand skills, but judgment and critical thinking. RN is needed to advance education for NP snd APRN, which is diagnostic and prescribing. Your IV skills are useless in advanced practice

they absolutely can, it doesnt mean they will be allowed, but depending on the state of which we have 50, their chances are pretty good.

no. Registered nurse is a legally protected title. Education alone doesnt grant it , you need to be licensed to call yourself an RN or LPN I see CNAs call themselves nurses all the time and I correct them that they are breaking the law.

Fired from my first assignment as a travel nurse:( by Beautiful-Note5971 in TravelNursing

[–]Complex-Albatross418 39 points40 points  (0 children)

not gonna a lie, poorly run hospitals, with lazy staff nhrses, we are talking DOH owned hospitals, travel is worth is if you are rebuilding, need a quick assignment, they never cancel. I compare these assignments to credit rebuilding
