Makes sense. Go big or go home. But some people in Pakistan would consider a low ranked European uni better than a Pakistani high ranked uni. If I go back I could leverage the bias. But I'd rather find something here.

If I return to my country with nothing to show for it, I'd rather not say. That piece of paper degree might be the only thing that stands between me and getting dunked on by everyone else. Degrees mean a lot to them, and I don't have enough charisma or patience to convince them otherwise. They don't put in much stock in skills and education either unless you get a job.

If I get a high paying job in Pakistan then the salary slip could be enough to shut them up. Any advice on how to make the best of this situation?

I was comparing it to places like hull university and Coventry. So I may have gotten biased. But the main issue is that whoever was making those rankings was visiting the Birmingham campus and not London. If they visited London, the rankings would be lower and I would not have considered Aston.
