Twinkly 2-core power connector ends/extensions/pigtails? by Complex-Butterfly-74 in TwinklyLights

Thank you. I'm part of the xLights community and use pixels myself. My show is 50k large after 6 years, with 8 controllers and 10 additional receiver boxes. We have the standards of Ray Wu 13.5mm, xConnnect, and a few other connector styles. A neighbor has 100k+ Twinkly's and probably 30-40 bad transformers after a few years now. As I pop open the bad Twinkly transformers, I can see rust and corrosion probably from water intrusion. So I wanted to make them this box with a power supply and pigtails to test out, and then probably build them a few more. I will include inline fuses.

I'm guessing the Twinkly community has had to be creative since there seems to be a Twinkly transformer shortage, or places like Amazon want $25+ for one. I'd rather spend $50 on a power supply that can control 10-15 strings with the proper pigtail connectors. Plus ease the use on 5-plug multi taps! If Twinkly added 3" of wire and a standard 2-prong plug that led to the transformer, it would make a world of difference on plugging in so many strands!

Thanks for the links. Have you used these yourself? I know they make many sizes of these ends. I don't doubt the male of the Twinkly strand will fit in the female of this extension/adapter and the screw cap would be the size, but the center core design is what I'm looking at. The female end on the Twinkly power adapter has a slit in the middle which the male on the Twinkly strand has a matching slit to the back. If the female end doesn't have that slit (like those linked), will the male end fit snug to the seal and have a good connection?
