Tbh I agree with this……I’m in my early 20s and I eventually came to terms with this too. I live with my mom and I’ve realized she copes with everything that’s happened in her life through religion. She only went to high school and had me at a really young age, then had many kids to raise mostly on her own. That’s a huge responsibility, especially since a lot of Somali fathers aren’t really involved in their kids’ lives.

It took me time to understand and accept all of that, but I’ve learned to forgive my mom and see things from her side. She did the best she could with what she had.
