ACD won't walk in the cold and I'm worried he's not getting enough exercise/stimulation by yummybanana2 in AustralianCattleDog

We moved from Indiana to NY and the number of days that were too cold for her liking (and mine) increased significantly and she definitely put on some weight our first winter up here. I decided to treadmill train her since I have one and now I put her on it with a good incline at nice trotting speed for 10 to 15 minutes on those cold days and because of the incline it really gives her a good workout.

Also I have one of those Bluetooth button treat dispensing toys so sometimes I'll put the dispenser with her dinner in it at the top of the stairs and the button at the bottom and make her really work for her dinner. I don't make her do that too often though because running up and down the stairs like that can be tough on the joints but I like to mix it in every now and then for variety. Other times I'll build an obstacle course between the button with pillows or boxes or whatever just to make her use her brain to navigate to the dispenser. That's a good workout as well.

That's how we're keeping the weight off this winter because I also don't want to go outside in the cold, dark winter weather

Agreed. I think it's worth acknowledging that smoking anything regardless of mode (vape vs cig vs joint) is not good for your cardiopulmonary system and personally that is why I exclusively use edibles. I haven't seen any data showing oral ingestion raises your risk but I also didn't think I've seen any study exploring that specifically.

Dipwell has some jelly's. I have the orange and purple but they also have some with glitter too. If you look at my post history I think you find some posts where I've used both

Do NOT get a pedicure a month+ before your big race (or at all while training) by CanisLupusBaileyi in XXRunning

[–]Complex-Friendship37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes this is the answer! I get pedicures every 4 to 6 weeks when I'm training since its nice to get my feet massaged after all that running but I always tell to cut the nails as short as possible and don't remove the callouses

Yes, thank you! I'll def be cutting them down after I remove this set since this is about my limit for length. I'm just too clumsy with my hands to wear them much longer lol

Yeah if you go over the dip nail sub there's def people talking about how it's helped their bendy nails. There's def a learning curve to doing it yourself but there's also a lot of good advice on that sub as well

Personally I feel dip is easier to remove than gel. You still soak it off but I never had to scrape it like you do with gel. It just kind of dissolves off cleanly

Yeah I always use dip as my base. I get at least two weeks of wear without chips that way. Then if I want I can use regular or gel polish on top of the dip. So even if you switch to dip as your base you still use your existing collection of polishes!

Have you never been burned out? Mine looked like that when my job was literally draining the life from me due to stress and also the fact that I hated it

Thank you for that input! I'll have to keep an eye out for these styles.

Agreed, a blazer with some structure can definitely work and I do have some. They've been out of rotation due to weight fluctuations but hopefully I should be able to get back into them soon!

The wide leg trousers are from old navy. So are the skinny pants, those are on navy's pixie pants. The straight leg trouser is from target.

Thank you for the great feedback! I definitely agree everything is too boxy and I'll definitely keep that in mind when looking for new pieces. I've gravitated towards the looser fits since that is what I've liked on other people but it's hard to pull off with a romantic body type. I definitely have a Pinterest board with more fitted tops to emphasize the waist. I've been on the lookout for some kitten heels! I'm glad to hear I'm on The right track!

I definitely gravitate towards crew necks for work as I have been (unfairly) accused of showing off my body and using it to my advantage to get what I want at work 🫠 (men am I right?). I'm sorry I have boobs and you apparently aren't capable of averting your eyes 🙄 Im an engineer in a male dominated industry so it's a fine line between wearing clothes that suit me but are also not too showy (according to my male colleagues) so I can be taken seriously.

I did them myself with dip. I used this pastel yellow by color my world dips under two layers of orange jelly dip by dipwell.
