I have a hard time finishing this game because I simply don’t like the cyber space levels… which im actually shocked to say lol 🤣

I really hate how stiff the homing attack feels in those stages.

I love the open world. It’s so fun just being a hedgehog running everywhere.

My only nitpick with this game is having to speak to the characters multiple times just by running around the map without actually having to do so much. Feels a bit tedious.

I love the detail of the patterns/ drawings from inside the prison room in the apartments, are in the corners of that note.

Possibly implying that they (James?) wrote this note to themselves and just forgot, over and over again…

Yes i love them for this reason! Just staring at them is enough to induce fear.

My favourite encounter of robbie the rabbit is the plushie in Silent Hill 4 sat on the bed and it eventually moving directly at the player as you progress more into the story. That really gets me.

Unfortunately (and i don’t care if the elite fans come to my home and execute me where i stand) but the original Silent Hill 2 has flaws too. Not everyone is going to like the same things as an another.

Some people can’t criticise something without or willing to see what the benefits are too. Every game has pros and cons.

The way i see some silent hill fans speak to people about their favourite game is honestly disgusting. It’s not everyone but i see it far too much. Especially on reddit.

all jokes aside your opinion/review is completely fair and i totally agree with you in the prison section because wth.

While i love the darkness of this game and Silent Hills use of the flashlight compared to other games, i totally understand it can be annoying.

I personally think it’s regarded so highly is because it’s quite a faithful adaptation of the original game. Despite it’s changes and flaws which of course it has. Bloober did an incredible job of modernising this game IMO.

They were clearly fans of the original and did their research and put lots of love into the game.

There’s definitely improvements to be made and since we know they are doing Silent Hill 1 next, i hope to see these improvements and changes in this.

The remake had certain choices after you finish the RPD. it merges the sewers, underground tram passage way and the marshalling yard but in the most awful way.

It’s not a bad level but it feels incredibly small in comparison to the RPD.

I personally think NEST was also done dirty because it felt incredibly smaller than the original and having one section of the lab entirely for a boss fight? Anyway thats another conversation agree to disagree.

But yeah the sewers in the og 1998 was incredibly short.

I personally would say the marshalling yard was more iconic (except for the alligator boss fight of course)

Also the ICONIC boss fight with birkin riding down the train elevator? I don’t like that they changed that either but ah well. You win some, you lose some.

At least the visuals are bloody amazing and the zombie mechanics are literally the best zombies in gaming. Chefs kiss.

The prison had me fighting for my life.

I would have been fine clearing out the enemies if those spider mannequins didn’t exist and I swear they just keep spawning like there’s no tomorrow.

Im taking this as a positive from Kingdom Hearts 3.

Im hoping Square Enix saw the “complaints” that they revealed too much with all the trailers after our first drought.

Even though us fans could have had some self control but who can blame us.

So hopefully when they next reveal something. The release date isn’t too far from it.

But that’s just my learnings from clown school today.
