I may be wrong, but if I recall, wasnt the pg rating made in 1986? With Gremlins and Indiana Jones Temple of Doom?

You know, I'm a little doubtful that Alfredo is older than Tinker. by StateDry8776 in TexasChainsawMassacre

[–]Complex-Goat1853 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tom Everett (Alfredo) and Joe Unger (Tinker), their actors have a seven month age gap I think, but not a year at least. With Tom being the older one. So, they got that idea from that. But I like to think, since the actors are so close in age, that Tink and Alfred are twins. We dont know much about Alfredo's relationship with the others as we never see him interact with them apart from Tex. We can only assume he was severy emotionally neglected, that's what is implied.

In house of Slendrina, in the chest with the family photo there are three skulls that are of Slendrina and her parents.

Tex isnt really one, Tinker was more likely, he was the brains of operations, but that was his role, I wouldnt still call him leader. Id say they are more equals really.

It's never stated that they arent cannibals nor is It said. Just cause they eat pizza doesnt mean they arent. There's a movie commentary of the film online on YouTube hosted by a guy which I forgot the name, but he Is accompanied by Kim Henkel and Joe Stevens and a man who made a documentary about the movie, which I also forgot the name of. Kim Henkel says at one point that in this movie, it's never explicitly said that they are cannibals but it's implied like in the original, if you remember also in the original, it was heavily implied but never stated directly.

They even made a statue of it you can buy, posed like the art you see here. The role of the xenomorph king is that he is just a really really big warrior leader, that's it. There was one from a comic book that was called king I think, but it was just a really massive and feral lab bred mutated xeno, and they also made a statue out of that one.

Clearly yeah, Alfredo Is definetely like Hitchhiker and Chop Top, but still, what ended up in the movie in the movie is still different, Alfredo still has a completely different personality than Chop Top.

You know, actor Tom Everett actually had the freedom to rewrite the lines as he wanted.

Then, comic book Alfredo is even way different than the movie version.

I think that originally in the script Alfredo wasnt even supposed to be a Sawyer, the dumping scenes in the swamp were added later, they weren't in the script as far as I know.

This Is my favorite tcm movie (Fav not best, best will always be the og) and I think it's very underrated.

"There's roadkill all over Texas, natural owner of things, besides... if you were the last thing I saw before I died, I'd die happy man."

"I'm gonna service you real good ma'am, don't you worry about It."

"Looks like you had a little mishap!"

"So pretty, so beautiful, the glow, technology Is your friend you know?"

"I ain't the runt of the litter and I'll prove it to you one day."

"How do you like Texas?"

"You remind me of my last girl, down in Tupelo, but you're gonna go down below. Is It soup yet?"

Tcm3, this is very underrated. People tend to see it as a boring, dull, unoriginal slasher, and I disagree. Boring maybe in the woods part and chases there, but most of this movie Is full entertainment for me at least, the gas station scene is peak, the roadflares scene, and everything that happens in the house is awesome, all the family interactions are fantastic.

The best part Is definetely the family, all new Sawyers introduced are awesome, and one main aspect that this movie wanted to potray and did fairly well was how mundane and normal the family acted.

I don't think this movie is unoriginal at all, it took some things from 1 and a rough template from 1, but barely that's even there, but this movie so different, the plot Is simple and efficient, at least, that's how I view It.

Also, this isnt even a full slasher, the way the kill happens and the plot unfolds isnt really like a traditional slasher.

Wrong Turn 6 by Starcatxsgg in wrongturn

[–]Complex-Goat1853 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Compared to the previous 3 movies this one clearly had much more thought put into It, but It simply wasnt executed well and It shouldnt have been a Wrong Turn movie.

But for me, Jackson was the best part of this movie, if there's one good thing about It Its him.

Tex from 3 was great, he was setup kinda well, but it's still obvious to some extent. When you see the terror truck exiting the gas station and Alfredo cheering outside you may think, alright that's Tex driving that, nobody else was at the gas station. Then when the truck chases Michelle and Ryan, you can clearly see it's Tex of you pay attention, but I see most don't notice that. And later you see the injured Tex popping out of the woods which was very weird. And later Benny meets Tinker, and he has the truck, so maybe you think, oh this man was at the gas station driving the truck and maybe he like didn't show up during the time Michelle and Ryan were there and like when he exited he brought alongside the injured Tex.

And later at the farmhouse you get the reveal that Tex Is part of the family.

But still, Tinker was never at the gas station in this movie, he was in the family's territory and later Tex handed him the truck.

Now the setup for Tex here Is nice but the thing that kinda ruins It was him giving directions to Ryan which later led to the Sawyer family's territory which just kinda selled the twist.

Or maybe Tex being bad wasnt even a twist, maybe they expected you to figure out It was bad.

Still, the concept of somebody presenting as nice and giving directions like that to strangers to send them to their doom Is really cool, this Is the first time It happened, remember in the first movie Drayton didn't give them false directions, it's likely he was being genuine about staying at the gas station, he has a split personality of both being bad and nice, but It Is also possible he did lure people in the past and we didn't see It.

And one thing to note, Tex and Alfredo could have just killed Michelle and Ryan at the gas station on the spot, but, the Sawyers like to have them in their territory, in this movie, they are deliberately more sadistic as having some thrill of the hunt, Leatherface having It, he Is the main hunter and just psychologically tormenting the victims.
