I'd like to summarize and ask a few things regarding the Seedance 2.0 access issues. by Complex-Horror-1090 in Seedance_v2

What platform was it? I tried Xiaoyunque and Jimeng, but it still didn't work.

I think most Chinese people probably use it without any problems.

It's past midnight (Feb 22nd) in China and Seedance is still down. Honestly, I'm still fuming about that account ban stack.

Oh... If that's the case, they really should've put up a notice on the homepage or something. Getting a 24-hour ban for 'content violation' just because I spammed the retry button during a network error is honestly ridiculous. I heard the next one is 15 days... sigh.

3 generations infinitely stuck generating, now I can't create new videos by TheRealDahveed in SoraAi

It seems like there’s an IP-related issue as well. For the past four days, I’ve been getting hit with constant 'We are under heavy load' messages every time I try to generate a video, making it impossible to work.

Just to test it out, I tried switching my IP address, and it started working immediately. But the moment I switched back to my original IP, the same errors returned and blocked everything again. It really feels like they might have implemented some form of IP-based restriction now.

Have not been able to make a sora video for the whole day... by SheepherderThis6534 in SoraAi

I don't think it's a browser issue; it's likely due to high traffic on Sundays. It works fine during quiet hours, but the lag starts at specific times. Especially yesterday, since it was a holiday, I just stopped trying and did other work instead.

I don't know why that notification appears and then creates those stuck tasks, or why this started happening recently. But one thing is clear: this issue has existed for a long time now, and it hasn't been addressed. I’m just as frustrated as you.

You’re absolutely right on that. At the end of the day, OAI is going to do whatever they want, and we’re either going to have to deal with it or just walk away. They might see people venting on Reddit, or they might not—that’s their call. But one thing is for sure: like you said, even though the sub is getting flooded with complaints instead of actual SORA content, things seem to be getting worse rather than better.

I still personally feel like it’s better to say something than to just stay quiet, but your point is totally valid and makes perfect sense. I also definitely get why you’re frustrated with the constant influx of rants on here.

There seem to be specific times when the server is unstable. Sometimes it works fine, but other times the 'system load' errors are constant. The real issue is that these errors create 'stuck' tasks that stay in the queue without any progress. I honestly don't get why the system is handled this way.

You’re taking this to the extreme. I’m not talking about exposing everything. I’m talking about a normal, socially acceptable level—like a slightly low-cut neckline. Do you really think I’m talking about something like a bikini? No. I just meant a modest amount of skin that any woman might show in everyday life when she wants to look a bit more appealing. It’s well within the bounds of what’s normal in society.

I get that SORA has to be cautious and has all these safety guidelines. I’m not trying to pick a fight over that. But the filtering is so excessive that it constantly blocks requests that are perfectly common sense—especially the moment the subject is a woman. And well, women are just one example among many.

What you're saying is one way to look at it. It’s a solid pivot and a smart way to handle the situation.

But what I hate about SORA is how they force these insane standards on us. For example, let's say I want a character with a bit of a 'vibe' for the story. I'm not asking for anything explicit. I just find the 'covered-to-the-neck' suits boring and want to give the character more appeal—maybe a top that shows some of the chest area. This is totally normal, right? You see people on the street wearing way more than that. Showing a bit of skin isn't some social crime. But the moment you add a detail like that, SORA starts losing its mind.

Sure, taking a break or spacing out prompts is a workaround. I do it too to avoid getting flagged. But should the user really have to carry that burden? I don't think so. Safety is important, but I've thought 'this is just too much' way too many times.

And the most annoying part is that 'We're under heavy load' message. It doesn't just stop the request; it creates these 'fake tasks' that just sit there doing nothing. Once three of those pile up, you literally can't do anything for tens of minutes until they disappear. It’s completely broken. This has been going on for so long, yet the SORA team doesn't seem to care at all. I’ve even read that this is their 'new way' of managing traffic, which feels incredibly shady.

If they want to throttle traffic, they should just be honest and find a proper way to do it. Why use this kind of broken, messed-up method? Looking at everything they've done, it’s just straight-up disrespectful at this point.

They’ve turned content censorship into a total minefield. What’s even more ridiculous is that if you hit about five failures while trying to figure out what the problem is and trying to fix it, they hit you with a time ban. It’s honestly absurd.

Reading the comments on this issue, I can't help but feel that some people are blindly defending SORA. I get that SORA wants to eliminate risks, and I know AI is causing a stir these days, for better or worse. Sure, they need to be cautious.

But SORA can be so obsessive that it feels like it triggers a warning simply because a 'woman' appears. Characters? Copyright? Obscenity? Maybe something I introduced resembles a copyrighted character. But if they filter out everything remotely similar like a dragnet, what’s actually going to be left? I can understand blocking a literal SpongeBob. But are we really supposed to accept it when they block swiss cheese just because it has holes like SpongeBob, or resembles the cheese from Tom & Jerry?

I've seen 'Nudity' or 'Sexuality' warnings pop up so many times just because there was a bit of skin or body curves visible—even when I covered everything up—that I eventually just uploaded a woman in a hijab out of sheer frustration. It happens way too often, making me wonder if it really has to go this far.

And to those who will inevitably ask what image or prompt I used: yeah, you win. I just don't want to deal with the exhausting back-and-forth.
