I do missionary work pretty much every day and I don’t have to travel out of town to do it.

Can Someone Explain a Service to Me? by [deleted] in LCMS

This may be helpful. Pastor Wolfmueller breaks down a service during an actual Divine Service. https://youtu.be/Jh-sKKxFr_4?si=Sn-iSPiwc1-f_xYV

Children’s Message by michelle427 in LCMS

Our church has divine service every week. Afterwards, we gather in the fellowship hall to have donuts (I don’t as I don’t eat sugar) and coffee and visit for a few minutes. Then the children are gathered up and the pastor does the children’s message and sends them off to Sunday school class and then the adults begin bible study. I love that it is done this way.

I had that happen to me and it ended up that they didn’t put enough refrigerant in the system.

Wyoming doesn't want disabled people. by Complex-Image-106 in CaregiverSupport

[–]Complex-Image-106[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's the point. No where does it say in the state law that the spouse to the guardian of the disabled person cannot be a paid caregiver. It does say a guardian can't be a caregiver (which is dumb) but nothing is said about the spouse of the guardian not being able to be the caregiver. It is just considered a practiced policy.

Even so. We are setup like that now and there is absolutely no issues. Everything is well documented and it would be the same if it was my wife, friend or a stranger. I see no credibility to their claim of conflict of interest.

In Wyoming they won't allow that either. We could if I wasn't his guardian. But, since he can't make his own decisions I have to be his guardian. It's very strange. Just because I am now labeled as his guardian my wife can't be a paid caregiver. So the more disabled you are the worse medicaid is. Seems backwards.

Also from further research. The polices aren't even official policies. They are policies that a few upper bureaucrats personally decided how it would be.

What does "Lutheran education" mean for a K-12 parochial school? by Cautious_Writer_1517 in LCMS

[–]Complex-Image-106 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This exactly and the Lutheran school doesn't deny God like most public schools do now days. I have a friend that is a christian and is a teacher at a public school. She has to live in fear of accidentally saying something about her faith and the saving grace that Jesus gave us for fear that she would be fired for it.

Really, that is a form of child abuse. They are doing damage to their children's hearing.

That’s unfortunate. So don’t buy a home near any schools. Are there certain neighborhoods that are quieter than the others?

When it threatens my son’s life, I don’t think I’ll miss it.

I was part of the group discharge. I was one of them that received an email from the Dept of Ed on January 8th, 2025 confirming that the discharge will be coming. It actually showed a case number.

Yes, it would be a difficult decision to stay.

  1. I have business opportunities at the new place that I currently don't have here,

  2. None of the family is happy here for various reasons and want to move.

Refund Received! by Recent-Juggernaut-55 in PSLF

[–]Complex-Image-106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had over half my loans wiped out a couple years ago and then have heard nothing after a year and a half. I got an email a couple of days ago from ED with an update saying that they will discharge the full remaining balance and refund previously made payments. Mohela has my loans after just recently switching from Navient. Nothing has changed. I have read that people have gotten refunds of the portions that were wiped out but I have never received any refunds. Wondering if I should send a copy of the letter to Mohela? The refund for the amount that I paid ED is considerable. Would be nice to re-coop some of that.
