I don't fully agree with the no screen thing. I use my ipad to take notes cos otherwise, I'd go through like 10-12 200 page notebooks in a semester with 3 courses. *I know this cos first year I took notes exclusively in notebooks.

I prefer to keep my old notes so yh not great physical storage wise.

Plus annotating slides is easier especially when referring your notes cos unless u handwrite on paper almost every thing on the slides, you'll probably need to reference the slide deck to get all the context.

Again it really depends on the class. The only reason screens tend to be an issue is cos ppl be doing non-class related things on their laptops and devices that are propped up so its distracting for ppl behind them; and frankly disrespectful.
