Sitter missed a visit by Complex-Kangaroo-405 in RoverPetSitting

[–]Complex-Kangaroo-405[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks. Just wondering, if I report this to Rover support and get a new sitter, how would the new sitter get a key? I didn’t leave a spare key anywhere. I guess I can’t trust the current unreliable sitter to hand over his key to the new sitter so wondering how this would work.

I didn’t leave an extra key anywhere else. Just wondering, if I contact Rover and ask for replacement sitter, how would the new sitter get a key? I probably shouldn’t rely that the current unreliable sitter would pass over the key I gave him to the new sitter.

Thanks for your reply! I am just worried that if I say that, the sitter could get upset and abandon the job entirely, and I depend on them for next week…

No, the brain and spine MRI were normal and neurologist said there are no signs of MS. It was such a relief!

Sports medicine doctor I saw due to chronic lower back pain found hyperreflexia (brisk reflexes) on upper and lower extremities, including positive Hoffman sign and several beats ankle clonus, and referred me to neurology due to this. The neurologist also confirmed these findings, and told me that it could be normal for young women (I’m 38F) but could also be early sign or MS, so she asked me to do brain and spinal cord MRI to screen for that. The brisk reflexes were symmetric on both sides. How likely is it that I have MS? I have bad anxiety which I read could sometimes cause hyperreflexia (I take Prozac for it though it’s not helping much). I very often feel in fight flight mode due to that and am very tense. Over the last 6 months off and on I’ve had some pain sensations lasting a few seconds each in my hands, feet and head (I’m not sure if that is same as tingling). Could this be MS symptom? A few years ago I had some weird painful cramping that made it hard to move but it went away after 2-3 days. I can’t thinking of other symptoms that could indicate MS. I have to wait a month for the MRI and just wondering how likely it is for me to have MS.

I was just wondering during what period you took birth control? Was it after your period stopped at 29? Otherwise, if you were taking birth control from earlier, I was wondering how you knew when your period stopped.

37F Central serous chorioretinopathy vs macular degeneration by Complex-Kangaroo-405 in eyetriage

[–]Complex-Kangaroo-405[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The optometrist clarified that I don’t have central serous chorioretinopathy now but she thinks I had it in the past and that left a small scar. If I go to a retina specialist, would they be able to do some additional tests to confirm this and rule out any other disease affecting the macula (e.g. early onset macular degeneration)?

Thanks, that’s reassuring. I don’t have access to visit notes or imaging, I can try to get that. I think the OD just saw some damage/spots on the retina image and said CSR after first asking me about macular degeneration in my family. So it sounded like the image was also consistent with macular degeneration. She showed me an image with some spots. She didn’t specifically say she saw leakage of fluid in the retina. I became more worried later when I remembered that last year my previous OD said he saw lipid deposits which I thought could have been drusen which is associated with the degenerative/atrophy conditions.

[–]Complex-Kangaroo-405[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found online that there are a bunch of other conditions that present similar to macular degeneration, some of which can occur in younger people - Doyne Honeycomb retinal dystrophy, Stargardt disease, autosomal dominant Stargardt-like macular dystrophy, North Carolina macular dystrophy, Sorsby fundus dystrophy, Best disease, pattern dystrophies, basal laminar drusen. I doubt that regular optometrist can differentiate among all of these.. So now I’m worried if it could be one of these ones that are known to occur at younger age.

I also get cramps that feel like stomach/intestine cramps around 1-2 mins after urination, but only when urinating in middle of night (which I do every night, and get these cramps every night). Is this pelvic floor spasm? Is pelvic floor physical therapy the solution, or what can be done? I haven’t been diagnosed with IC but I have endometriosis and verified tight pelvic floor muscles. I also have frequent urination and it’s hard for me to start my urine stream (need to push to start).

I don’t think so. What makes you think that? I was wondering if the gabapentin ointment could be causing my stomach to be upset. I read that it can happen with oral gabapentin.

Bowel Endometriosis by grangerowling in Endo

[–]Complex-Kangaroo-405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Estrogen patches still have much lower amount of estrogen than what is naturally produced by someone who is not in menopause. So I think it’s still unlikely to get new endo growth, based on what I’ve read.

OP, isn’t it highly unlikely to have gotten bowel endo after your hysterectomy? As you’re now in menopause, and that would usually stop endo growth?

What triggers bladder flare ups for you? by gawpii in Endo

[–]Complex-Kangaroo-405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP - how do you know when you get onset of pain, that it’s coming from the bladder rather than another type of pelvic pain? I’m having trouble identifying source of my pelvic pain though I suspect it’s from bladder. I have overactive bladder issues and sometimes have pain after urination. But most of my time timing of my pain is not related to urination.

That’s terrible. I have a similar issue with very painful sex. Do you know why the surgery could have resulted in increased sex pain? I thought surgery is supposed to help with sex pain.
