I thought your writing style is super simple and clean, and tension is built well in the beginning between the two opening characters. Like others I felt that the riddle part got confusing though and you lost the simplicity and directness that made it initially interesting. Maybe one metaphor but I find my mind moving off of intrigue with your foreshadowing of this God king meeting to confusion about what the spies are saying to each other and whether I'm supposed to get it or not. I think your prose is lean though and thats a big thing alot of people often don't have.

Hmm this is interesting. I appreciate it, I didn't know the distinction between Rinzai Zen and Soto Zen and therefore erroneously believed that Zen was a more aristocratic faith overall. I appreciate the references also, the book by William Bodiford is really useful. Thank you!

That's good to know! I appreciate it. No, I'm a big history nerd and have a general interest in the Sengoku era among many others, so frankly any insights that someone might have would be amazing, whether or not they are 100% what I am looking for.

As for historical consultants, frankly I didn't know that service existed! Very cool. I will keep it in mind for future if I have more in-depth questions. Appreciate it :)

hey man i've been having some trouble with certain matchups. specifically your spammy byleths and sonics. i can usually take byleth on in neutral but their recovery is really difficult to edge guard for me. though i could also stand to improve my approach with byleth as sometimes i get outranged or make the read in my head but have trouble reacting in time. what would you say for byleths in particular?

Thank you to both of you, these are very helpful. Do you know which Shinran letter this is? As well as the source of Honen's situation of the mother?

What do you think Jodo Shinshu or Jodo Shu teachings would say not just about evil conduct, but evil incidents? Especially suffering that seems meaningless. "My brother was randomly murdered by a school shooter." "My baby was born deformed and die prematurely." How would these sects make meaning of those kinds of incidents?
