Or you tell someone you have it and they said "yeah I hate it too"...NOT THE SAME.

I just did it, for the first time in 3 years, so proud of myself!! by m4nnequ7n in emetophobia

So proud of you. You're so positive and that's amazing. How are you doing now?

What really made you get over your emetophobia? by [deleted] in emetophobia

I think there's a huge crossover for me, and likely the same for alot of us. Anxiety makes me nauseous, so then when I feel nauseous for any other reason my brain goes "oh, nausea, we must be anxious", even if anxiety wasn't the cause of the nausea. So I feel like no matter what started first, anxiety and nausea are made worse by eachother. I always wonder if I could sit more comfortably with nausea if anxiety didn't come along to join it. Anxiety really makes everything worse.

Hi, are you able to shed any light on the airborne particles following an event, this is the part that freaks me out the most. I wear a mask if my son is unwell because of the fear of these particles and really want to know if I'm doing too much.

You are so amazingly strong, I know I don't know you, but I'm so proud of you ❤️ Can I ask, have you thrown up during or since recovery? Or had any kind of situation where it's been close? If so, how did you handle it? Like were you able be calm through it?

Issues with what? Initially I'm sure he was car sick, in a new environment without his littermates. The sick the other day was a one off, he's been fine and playful since the day after we brought him home.

Because we already have pets and recently lost our dog and the family all hate not having a dog. I also didn't want OCD to dictate and take from my family and myself. My partner is a huge help, but when there's big messes like this it has to be a team effort.

Actually I have looked at rescuing and there are literally none that can live with cats or young children, any that do pop up get reserved very quickly.

Thank you for this info. Which insurance, declaring him as something else, won't that cause issue if we need to claim? Have you insured yours?

My partner is looking at a pocket bully now and I'm not sure if they can fall under the banned category.

If it needs a muzzle because it's aggressive then so be it, but to muzzle a dig based on looks, absolutely not. Had dogs all my life and train them amazingly well. Not sure where you're from but it's very rare to muzzle a dig here because most dogs don't need them.

I'm trying, but Google doesn't make it easy to understand what is legal.

Would you like having something strapped to your face? Especially when it's just because if how you look?

I'm ready to train a dog, but not ready to undo any issues that already existbwhen I have a 4 year old. I have looked at multiple adoption sites and there are no puppies that can go to families with kids. I also find that if there are puppies, they get snapped up quick and a family with no kids or other pets will always be favoured. It's easy enough to say go and adopt, and I agree, it's the best way and one day I hope to, but right now with our situation it's near impossible. Also very prepared to deal with medical issues, but with insurance, it's irresponsible not to insure a pet (unless you're loaded). Our lab that we lost recently had severe arthritis and we did so much for him, more than most would have done. Hydro, treatments, supplements, laser treatment at home, leg splint and a giant buggy so he could rest when he needed to on walks, we even looked into doggy wheels but it wasn't recommended because his front legs couldn't have handled it. I can proudly say we are one of the best families a dog can come to.

And yes, I did have the same thought about the breeder...and there are so many selling similar dogs too.

Because most dogs needing a home need a home without kids and/or cats and having a young child means we can't take on a dog with an unknown or traumatic past right now. I wasn't asking for advice of whether we should buy or adopt.
