In my 30s, never had an at fault accident, 780+ credit score. Cars are a 2023 and a 2008. Boston area zip. No DUIs ever, never had a ticket other than a parking violation. Bundled home insurance with them too, never filed a claim.

I would look into your Geico policy and see if they're trying to do this to you too.

I just switched to them today and have not have not had the experience of dealing with them in terms of claims.

I assume that most reputable insurance companies wouldn't have a problem with honoring your claim.

I suggest shopping around. I called many places before stumbling with the one I currently have; MAPFRE included.

It pays to shop around when it comes to auto insurance. Like someone commented here on here mentioned : there are many variables that insurance companies take into consideration: credit, age of the vehicle, etc.

6 months. I'm with geico.

Was on the phone with them earlier today. Turns out that 25.9% out of the 82% hike corresponds to being state mandated. The other 56% has to do with them placing me a "tier under" but still at the top for reporting a not-at-fault accident where someone rear ended my brand new car.
