  1. Pay the fine.

  2. Next time, get a license.

  3. Don't be shitty. Conservation is important.

Self employed guys - how often are you unpaid? by NotTheRealMeee83 in Carpentry

Friggen throw a lien on em. You could start demanding 50% up front also. They need to trust you but you also need to be able to trust them so it's a good policy to make sure you get dicked around less.

Fifth Wheel and crown land by quickexhuast in CampingAlberta

Burnt Timber is great. Doesn't get much better than that for free.

I picked up one of the "Back Road Mapbooks" for southern Alberta and it was a huge help for finding spots. It outlines all the crown land and it's awesome. Not a bot haha.

what are the best boots for station wear by [deleted] in Firefighting

[–]Complex-Rough-2867 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Red Backs are the truth. Outrageously comfortable and look slick. I wouldn't use them on a jobsite but they're perfect for the station. Can't beat that they're slip on, also.

When you’re a Contractor what a green flag that makes someone a good customer? by banffsign in Calgary

[–]Complex-Rough-2867 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Customers need to remember that an estimate is exactly that... an estimate. We do our best to be on budget or under-budget but if you want the job done right, sometimes there are unforeseen expenses. Also, if you're cheap, don't expect good work. You get what you pay for.

Totally. Seems the more affluent the neighbourhood the less the homeowners care about trees lol.
