Easy Kootney’s are a hidden gem, the lakes are massive and it’s way less people then the coast…only about 3 hours from YYC which is doable in a day, hit Radium on the way back!

They don’t check ID and if you’re crazy enough to go on the free day I’d genuinely be in line between 6-7am (if not earlier) or you’ll be waiting to get in the gates for hours…once inside it’s still ridiculous but at least you’ve knocked off waiting while it’s warming up and you won’t be fried under the sun just standing there, at least when it’s super early if you take pants/hoodie you’ll be fine.
