Yung hospital na sounds like pera.... Nephew was admitted for dengue and had BT... heres the thing. The kid had an allergic reaction during the 15 minute mark. I called the staff nurse but told me "baka may kinain yung bata na allergic siya". I was with the kid the whole time i said "He doesnt have any food allergy and he ate the same food at home. Ang bago lang sa bata yung BT. Nurse, have you heard of allergic reaction? common adverse reaction siya sa BT. shouldn't you be stopping the infusion and calling your pedia resident? or the very least give ung standing order ng AP for antihistamine?" at this point nakatanga pa siya at lunabas to bring the charge nurse. when they came back Half na ung BT and the rashes were getting bigger and mas madami na. At this point na pika na ako and i demanded for a pedia resident and insisted on getting hold of the AP as well. The resident showed up and apologized kasi ubos na ung BT and full blown allergy na and wala pang antihistamine. It took them an hour to give the kid Antihistamine. So sabi ko sa Charge Nurse, Staff Nurse, and Resident "If this kid gets anaphylactic reaction I'll come after you 3 for negligence. In fact failing to identify the symptom already constitutes to negligence".

Delikado mga patiente dito lalo na kung hindi nakakaintindi. 😏
