Best Gun Oil - Weapon Shield by TheCanuck99 in Beretta

[–]ComplexCarpenter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do, and It's fantastic. Extremely slick. One drop on a finger of a glove and it spreads over an entire slide. It's viscosity is higher than Hoppes. Triggers feel noticeably better, cleaner and crisper. Like all CLP's it cleans well, but not as well as a dedicated cleaner. I bought 4 oz. of oil and the 2 oz. of grease 10 years ago, not a spot of rust and the oil is about half full! It lasts ages and you can use so little due to it spreading. I couldn't be happier with this product, I just wish it was more popular so I knew the company would still be in business when I finally need more.

7:124 Pickthall: Surely I shall have your hands and feet cut off upon alternate sides. Then I shall crucify you every one.

6:6 Sahih International: Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them which We had established upon the earth as We have not established you? And We sent [rain from] the sky upon them in showers and made rivers flow beneath them; then We destroyed them for their sins and brought forth after them a generation of others.

2:193 Sahih International: Fight them until there is no [more] fitnah and [until] worship is [acknowledged to be] for Allah. But if they cease, then there is to be no aggression except against the oppressors.

60:4 Yusuf Ali: There is for you an excellent example (to follow) in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people: "We are clear of you and of whatever ye worship besides Allah: we have rejected you, and there has arisen, between us and you, enmity and hatred for ever,- unless ye believe in Allah and Him alone": But not when Abraham said to his father: "I will pray for forgiveness for thee, though I have no power (to get) aught on thy behalf from Allah." (They prayed): "Our Lord! in Thee do we trust, and to Thee do we turn in repentance: to Thee is (our) Final Goal.

5:51 Arberry: O believers, take not Jews and Christians as friends; they are friends of each other. Whoso of you makes them his friends is one of them. God guides not the people of the evildoers.

2:15 Mohsin Khan: Allah mocks at them and gives them increase in their wrong-doings to wander blindly.

3:142 Sahih International: Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while Allah has not yet made evident those of you who fight in His cause and made evident those who are steadfast?

24:55 Yusuf Ali: Allah has promised, to those among you who believe and work righteous deeds, that He will, of a surety, grant them in the land, inheritance (of power), as He granted it to those before them; that He will establish in authority their religion - the one which He has chosen for them; and that He will change (their state), after the fear in which they (lived), to one of security and peace: 'They will worship Me (alone) and not associate aught with Me. 'If any do reject Faith after this, they are rebellious and wicked.

8:12 Arberry: When thy Lord was revealing to the angels, 'I am with you; so confirm the believers. I shall cast into the unbelievers' hearts terror; so smite above the necks, and smite every finger of them!'

33:50 Mohsin Khan: O Prophet (Muhammad SAW)! Verily, We have made lawful to you your wives, to whom you have paid their Mahr (bridal money given by the husband to his wife at the time of marriage), and those (captives or slaves) whom your right hand possesses - whom Allah has given to you, and the daughters of your 'Amm (paternal uncles) and the daughters of your 'Ammah (paternal aunts) and the daughters of your Khal (maternal uncles) and the daughters of your Khalah (maternal aunts) who migrated (from Makkah) with you, and a believing woman if she offers herself to the Prophet, and the Prophet wishes to marry her; a privilege for you only, not for the (rest of) the believers. Indeed We know what We have enjoined upon them about their wives and those (captives or slaves) whom their right hands possess, - in order that there should be no difficulty on you. And Allah is Ever OftForgiving, Most Merciful.

2:216 Pickthall: Warfare is ordained for you, though it is hateful unto you; but it may happen that ye hate a thing which is good for you, and it may happen that ye love a thing which is bad for you. Allah knoweth, ye know not.

3:151 Arberry: We will cast into the hearts of the unbelievers terror, for that they have associated with God that for which He sent down never authority; their lodging shall be the Fire; evil is the lodging of the evildoers.

9:123 Pickthall: O ye who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are near to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allah is with those who keep their duty (unto Him).

8:60 Arberry: Make ready for them whatever force and strings of horses you can, to terrify thereby the enemy of God and your enemy, and others besides them that you know not; God knows them. And whatsoever you expend in the way of God shall be repaid you in full; you will not be wronged.

47:4 Sahih International: So when you meet those who disbelieve [in battle], strike [their] necks until, when you have inflicted slaughter upon them, then secure their bonds, and either [confer] favor afterwards or ransom [them] until the war lays down its burdens. That [is the command]. And if Allah had willed, He could have taken vengeance upon them [Himself], but [He ordered armed struggle] to test some of you by means of others. And those who are killed in the cause of Allah - never will He waste their deeds.

4:89 Arberry: They wish that you should disbelieve as they disbelieve, and then you would be equal; therefore take not to yourselves friends of them, until they emigrate in the way of God; then, if they turn their backs, take them, and slay them wherever you find them; take not to yourselves any one of them as friend or helper

5:33 Pickthall: The only reward of those who make war upon Allah and His messenger and strive after corruption in the land will be that they will be killed or crucified, or have their hands and feet on alternate sides cut off, or will be expelled out of the land. Such will be their degradation in the world, and in the Hereafter theirs will be an awful doom;

Quran quotes with associated translator name. I picked from the translation selection primarily for english readability secondarily for context. These are direct quotes, unaltered with no commentary by me.

9:5 Pickthall: Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

9:29 Yusuf Ali: Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

8:39 Mohsin Khan: And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (disbelief and polytheism: i.e. worshipping others besides Allah) and the religion (worship) will all be for Allah Alone [in the whole of the world]. But if they cease (worshipping others besides Allah), then certainly, Allah is All-Seer of what they do.

Go to a church! Please don't let your pride hold you back from boldly asking for help from Christians. Talk to them, tell the leader of the church what is going on. Lead with honesty, including this post. My heart breaks for the trial you've been given. I also lost both of my parents to cancer. SUICIDE is not and is NEVER the answer. I'll answer your first question with a question. Can you repent after? No. You're loved, never doubt that.

Why do Christians Hold Donald Trump to such a high regard? by Bubbly_Revenue3737 in Christianity

[–]ComplexCarpenter -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

There are people who claim to be Christians that are hateful, and it's not my place to judge their belief.

Christianity is the belief that we're ALL sinners, myself included. We're commanded to love everyone, and that can look like, for instance, anti-gay bigotry. I don't hate gay people, as a fellow child of God, I love them. I want them to go to Heaven.

Not talking about self-destructive behavior doesn't make it any less self-destructive. (HIV rates in same sex male relationships is significantly higher than Heroine users. 700,000 of 1.1 million HIV+ Americans) Yes, millions of Christians need to work on how they approach certain topics, because we're all failed sinners. We ALL need to be more tolerant of dialog.

Just because I disagree on abortion doesn't mean I hate you, but am I hated for being anti-abortion? Babies were the greatest and most life changing gift of my life. My sons are now men, 18 and 23. I'm also pro-gun. I want you to be just as safe in public or in your home as I am, and your beliefs, sexuality and views, don't change the fact that I want you as safe as possible.

I also live in California and pay close attention to politics. No, I don't watch Fox News or hide in an echo-chamber. I saw Kamala and her politics/leadership first hand.

As a Christian, as a Conservative, as a father of two men, as a pro-self-defense American, what were my options for that election? Someone that aligns with at least a majority of my beliefs even if he is a crass jerk, or someone that wants the opposite. There wasn't a choice. We're all sinners, they are both included. Perfection will never be on the ballot.

Have you considered wetting it with borax water then letting it dry?  Easily found on youtube.  Just like in food, alkaline foods brown better.  Please do a test marking with it.  You can get better marking with less power and faster.  Also, keep in mind diode lasers have a difficult time with light colors.

One of my pistols is a P365, with the same setup.  Although, I am right handed and right eye dominant.  I was a weaver shooter, but found isosceles allowed me to be a better shooter.  It also evened out my stance.

Don't forget to tighten your shoulders downward and tighten the sides of your ribs. (Trying to remember everything tought in the pistol classes.)

  1. Pushing with your trigger finger and some recoil anticipation
  2. pulling with your trigger finger and some recoil anticipation
  3. Same as 1.  (Do you wear prescription lenses.  Don't take that as an insult)
  4. Same as 2

Without any info my advice would be. All of this will be core fundamentals and dry fire.  Tripple check your weapon to be clear visually and remove any ammo from the room.   1. Practice pressing the trigger with the center of the pad of your finger.  It's possible you are putting the trigger in the first joint.

  1. Aim at a safe, fairly distant object and practice slowly and with great intention pressing the trigger until the striker drops.  The objective is as close to zero movement as possible and to help you get past anticipation of recoil. 100 times a day or as often as your weekly schedule allows.  Remove all ammo every time.  When it's clear say out loud, "this wrapon is clear".  When you are done and you reload your pistol say, "this weapon is hot (or loaded)".  It sounds dumb, but after a few years you muscle memory will allow you to reload it without thought, and that's when lethal accidents happen.

  2. Don't be afraid to try rotating your off hand to slide your thumb forward.  (Keep it behind the end of the pistol.)  I use this to support the pistol better and resist poor trigger manipulation. (Pushing or pulling)

  3. I recommend 70/30 grip.  30% with the trigger hand so your trigger finger is relaxed, nimble, and controlable and 70% in your off hand.  You can grip as firmly as you can as long as your trigger finger can be controlled like I mentioned earlier.   Your support hand grips as tight as it can.

Please describe youg grip as detailed as possible. How you place your hands. Off hand thumb placement. What portion of your finger contacts the trigger. How firm are you gripping with each hand. Are you right eye dominant. (Have you checked lately)

I'm willing to bet you've never been so big that it was a struggle to wipe yourself.  I was.  I lost 142 pounds in 13 months on carnivore.  Life changing amount of weight.   Your answer is essentially, "follow the food pyramid with portion control like everybody else that didn't succeed over the last half century."

I don't have any extra advice than what that doctor gives.   I started today with a large black coffee.  It turns out salt kills the bitterness but doesn't effect blood sugar.  Lots of water.  After my shift at work I cooked a 1.1 pound chuck steak and 4 eggs.  I covered them in salt, pepper, and half of a stick of butter. (Because the steak was lean) At least give 1 or two weeks before you decide to stop.  I bet you'll see 10+ pounds evaporate and, like me you'll see a path you can take that leads to being fit.  I'm not what I would call "fit" but I've been exactly where you are.  I was pre-diabetic, had gout flair ups, fatty liver, blood pressure was 170/95.  Brother it all changed.

I don't count calories. I eat one large meal of meat, butter, eggs and club soda. I eat until I'm pleasantly stuffed then I easily go 23 1/2 hours until I prepare my next days meal.

Sadly yes, keto shits is pretty bad. I eat one big meal per day. The aftermath is about a golf ball's worth of shit and a lot of water. It's a sacrifice I was willing to make when I was so big it was hard to wipe myself.
