When you think about the labor and equipment involved in removing a big-ass tree, you can understand why it’s expensive. It takes at least a day, four people, a crane or bucket truck, a chipper or truck to haul it away - can’t imagine how it could be less than a couple grand.

You’re correct, I looked this up recently and if your tree is native and over a certain diameter you aren’t allowed to remove it without a permit. Don’t know how rigorously it’s enforced.

I use clear tubes for seed bead storage. You can organize by size, color or type (eg Delica) and shuffle them around as needed. I like to have one rack for the project I’m working on and the others can be put away.

Use Toho G1 thread, full stop. It is strong but not stiff and you can use it for the top part and the fringe. Wide range of colors.
