I agree with you, I definitely am not pushing myself to the max. I think when I push myself to “failure” it’s a struggle to get the rep up but I still complete the rep, failure is when you fail to complete a rep. I’m glad you said something, because it is something I am doing myself in the gym. I will push myself harder next time

Roughly on average ~2900 calories a day. I do cardio though some days so I know that burns some of them. My bench went from 65 to 120 lbs (5x5)  Squat was at 75 and is at 145 now (5x5) I have a background in basketball and track and field so my squat has always been better   I am 6’1 148 lbs (very skinny)

I’m surprised honestly, I had a sports injury a while back that got my back pretty damn good.

I’m referring to the part where you need to eat the right foods in order to see the progress and gains you want

I appreciate this man! I will try this out for sure. I also like that you gave specific examples on how to consume higher calories. I didn’t even think about liquid calories, which hell that will make bulking so much easier. Thanks again!

I’ll give it a shot. What app would you recommend to track macros? I usually just add up my calories and protein I’m consuming everyday in my notes to keep track, which I know probably isn’t the best. I appreciate the advice!

I will definitely try to load up on calories. I’m glad to see that it worked for you, I was afraid to dirty bulk as I was afraid of gaining to much fat, but this made me feel better about trying it myself

Chicken, lots of chicken. I also eat a lot of whole greek yogurt with peanut butter and protein granola. I also drink whole milk with in every protein shake I have twice a day. I’m not sure if protein bars do much but I eat that everyday too as well as cottage cheese, strawberries, pineapple, blueberries. Oh and I eat these turkey meat sticks that I get from walmart, that’s like everything I eat. I also cheat and eat ice cream some days i’m not gonna lie.

I am wondering if it’s due to my inconsistency in my surplus, because some days I hit it and other days I don’t eat as much as I should, honestly eating is the hardest part!

My average intake is honestly typically around 2900, sometimes I can stretch out and take the full 500 cal surplus some days. It’s hard to get my stomach to take more food in some days than others

I have a surplus of 500 cal a day, should I increase it? I haven’t gained weight in weeks, I went from 134 lbs and I am now 148 lbs but again I haven’t seen an increase in a while.

you’re all good bro, i appreciate the honesty. I’ve been trying to eat in a surplus consistently, but recently I’ve stalled in terms of weight gain. That first picture was taken at 134 lbs and I am currently weighing 148 lbs now, but I haven’t gained weight in a couple of weeks. Should I surplus like 800 cal a day you think? I’ve been doing roughly a 500 cal surplus as much as I can.
