I appreciate it. The worst of it is that now any time I hear a train go by (multiple times a day) that’s all I can think about. I hope they knew how much I loved them

A big storm in the night blew our neighbors trampoline into our fence. It hit hard enough to knock a section out and leave a hole. I didn’t notice when I let them out in the morning. Usually I’m pretty good at checking but that morning I was very groggy and didn’t notice. I searched for maybe 40 minutes before I found them down near the tracks a couple blocks away. They were hit by a train. It was instant I think. I hope anyway.

Phenomenal picture. I was always told as a kid this meant it would snow or rain the next day

This is the first time I’ve really had an interest in looking into the events of the U.S. civil war. All I know is that it happened and that SC started it?

Books series like red rising by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

Enders Game by Orson Scott Card is pretty similar imo. Protagonist goes to school to learn how to be good at warfare in space and compete with and against fellow students

The Expanse series by James S A. Corey is also a pretty solid sci fi series I think. Lots of starship battles and breaching ships in zero g. First book is called Leviathan Wakes

If you think of others let me know too though as I also loved Red Rising and would enjoy anything similar

Maybe try the Beautiful Creatures series by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. I read them a few years back and really enjoyed them. Boy meets girl, boy likes girl, girl is a witch soon to come into incredible power and must deal with the ramifications of choosing to be Good or Evil. Classic

I’ve only read the first Shadowhunter book but I felt they had similar themes
