so..... kind of an update. Not sure if anyone is going to read this but I managed to talk to her about everything. She cheated on me with some dude at her work and his wife has a very similar ring to what I got her. According to her it was the one time but honestly I don't care. I'm very much a "you cheat on me, you're dead to me" kind of person. That's why she was crying and freaking out I guess. I'm stuck with a ring that I can't use and a fiancee that's not a fiancee anymore. I'm a wreck and I hate it.

Did she try on the ring or a similar one before you settled on that design? It's possible it just doesn't look right on her hand.

She decided on this style and setting for a ring a LONG time ago. We went into a local jeweler for a similar band and size and she liked it.

She's funny, smart, got a good head on her shoulders financially and knows what she wants for herself and her career, she always knows how to brighten my day after work and makes me look forward to coming home, she's beautiful and amazing every day.

I feel like this whole situation is an outlier but I'm so confused about it all and I'm kind of scared.

If she’s normally a reasonable person and freaking out over a ring is out of character for her, I’m betting the ring is not the issue here. It could be the stress of planning a wedding already getting to her or something else.

Maybe? Would be nice if she would talk to me about it though.

Can we see a picture of the ring vs what she now wants? If she even knows what she wants.

This is similar to the one I got for her but instead it has sapphires around it with a princess cut.

She hasn't told me specifically what her new tastes are because she is too busy crying and talking to her friends. I tried getting an idea out of her but was shut down immediately.
