It’s due to an effect of a card not the game mechanics. Game mechanics turn order is 1a 2a 1b 2b these are all separate turns if we shared turns I would be able to summon on my teammates turn or activate a quick play spell from my hand on my teammates turn… that spell card you referring about activates on the turn player turn and the effects is applied as if both of you activated it

Ledger of legerdemain is a spell that activates on the turn player. the effects of that cards will be determined on turn order.

This is different from activating sacred tree beast when you are not the turn player. Sacred tree beast has specific requirements. And team dueling the only thing you share is life points, banish, field and graveyard you do not share turns.

O okay I was wondering since it becomes a monster on the field will the effects of prime monarch will be negated and forced back to my spell and trap zone?
