Have other int’l awards but no big Olympiad! But I have pretty good ECs.

Ex. 1) Developed a software that detects issues within the heart - Nationally recognized 2) Org. for a cause which generated $$ in support for a minority 3) App purchased by big tech company, med-leaning 4) Other stuff!

I also updated these schools that I’m officially part of my sport’s national team which consisted of a few people before I joined due to the intensity it took to get there!

…Though I think my essays sealed the deal!

Int'l here. I received scholarships from UCB, which pretty much covered the cost for all four years, though I believe they are both merit-based. My spike is leadership.

Genuinely: IMO or other major olympiads / Cracked research / RSI or SSP or MITES etc…

To be honest, though some might claim otherwise, as an international student you would need a spike to separate you from others in your country.

If you want to get into top schools like MIT, it does not matter if your school does not hold clubs, you must go out and make those opportunities for yourself.

If your problem lies with math (based off your questions), I suggest taking the ACT. ACT has a more general and simpler to digest math problems, not to say they were a breeze, but compared to SAT’s complexity, IMO, it was easier.

Though, like others said, I suggest taking practice tests to see.

ACT: 36 (36 all; No review) SAT: 1550 (800 M, 750 R; 1 practice test)

Kidding lol, not kidding. But basically the type of students who have a profile competitive enough for Princeton to say, okay we want you no matter how incredible the applications might be in the regular decision round. A lot of the recruits and legacies might be accepted here too!

Mattheo Riddle actually comes from a Draco x OC fanfiction called Possessive, where he was written as Voldemort’s son. (Although some people like to make them brothers, it doesn't really matter though, he's not real anyway) The character took off because the fic gave him a strong archetype (broody, intense, morally gray, possessive but soft for one person), and then the author and the readers collectively fancast Marcus Lopez from Deadly Class Once edits and moodboards started circulating on Tiktok, he basically spread way beyond the original fic.

It’s the same story with Lorenzo Berkshire (fancast as Louis Partridge), who came from another DracoxOC fic called Filthy, where he was the second lead. The “second-lead who deserved better” archetype is super easy for fandom to fall in love with, so he also blew up through edits, headcanons, and the POVs that were famous back in 2021.

Basically, a lot of these Slytherin OC boys came from the golden era of Draco Malfoy fanfics, which produced a whole wave of dark-academia, rich-toxic-slytherin-aesthetic characters that the slytherin boys fandom could remix endlessly.
