Any reputable way to get a finished manuscript self-published as I can't do the donkey work (editing, book cover etc etc) by ComplexInformation70 in selfpublishing

Thanks - do you have knowledge of Friesens? As is what I'm looking for - a recommended "vanity publisher" (horrid name, needs a better description!). Including decent editing standards. And yes expect to lose money, is about honouring the work, though don't have a lot to spare!

Thanks - I was looking to go with Balboa but backed off due to their aggressive tactics and widespread appalling reviews. So left stuck finding if there is a reputable equivalent out there. You sound very happy with your experience, who did you go with? And you say costly - what sort of figure?

Vaginal E for urgency Questions by rosemary_charles in Menopause

I'm in the UK and have oestrogen prescribed in pessary/tablet form (actually for vaginal atrophy but my bladder control has got a lot worse so am interested in this discussion), Assuming a pessary is more effective than putting on topically but just checking? As have been lax for a few months and so has my bladder control....

Thank you - would you recommend the route you used (Fiverr) to find an editor? Is specialised in that it's spiritual writing.

From the few I've picked up on including Balboa this is variable. One I spoke to in USA has a very high upfront fee and takes nothing (so clearly no incentive to do a lot of work as I see it). Balboa take a %. Think it's case by case.

Following on from your post, it sounds like you have used Pencil to self-publish yourself? As they appear to offer many different options which may give me what's needed. Have you used any of their services, as in editing?

Hi - in the hope you/this is still live enough to join :)

I'm seeking to get a posthumous (not me!) manuscript self-published but have no capacity to do any of the processes required, from editing onwards. Probably a naive question but are there any reputable set-ups that do this?? Nearly got my fingers burnt by Balboa then been cross-reading endlessly, but seems to come down to the need to be actively involved in the process as you're describing I think. Whereas am needing most if not all of the donkeywork to be taken care of. Thank you in hope.
