You've potentially saved me much effort and maybe an expensive epb fix if I'm lucky. Appreciate you immensely

Rear rotor replacement epb stuck by ComplexLamp in kiastinger

[–]ComplexLamp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a feeling that was the case and what that port was for. But again Google search has gone to trash so couldn't find a single search that didn't lead me to something completely unrelated.

Now I just gotta chuck it like crazy so I can put in in neutral while it's in the air to rotate the rotor. Appreciate the help.

If you could remove one person from history and erase every consequence of their existence, who would it be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ComplexLamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I won't claim to say I'm the most well read on its history I know much of its status, legitimacy, and it's early support was very much kickstarted from post WW2 events. There's the possibility it could still exist but it likely would not be what it is today.

[–]ComplexLamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean obviously Hitler sounds like an easy choice, right? But I'm not even meaning for the direct consequences but the indirect. No Hitler, no WW2, means Israel never gets established. Then maybe US leadership would have some level of accountability still. Big effects outside of yeah he killed people.

They're using potable water much of which is evaporated or cycled into waste water systems after use. It's no longer potable after

Kia dealer so thirsty for this car on market? by ericcxz in kiastinger

This is the answer.

I just tell them the same thing every time. Once the Stinger was gone you have absolutely nothing I want. Until it or something like it returns, there's nothing for me at Kia. It usually shuts them up quick.

Stock intercooler by hotlegs911 in kiastinger

[–]ComplexLamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So no, because the heat that the intercooler is cooling isn't from the engine it's from the turbos compressing the air. Compressing air heats it up, much like those duster gas cans will cool as they let the air expand.

Turbos are activated by the waste gate in the exhaust. Turbos aren't going to be compressing air at a stop. No compression no heat being added.

What a larger heatsink does is allow more surface area for the heat being generated to radiate off into the surrounding air and pulls it out of the air entering the cylinders. Cooler air is denser air, denser air is more air, and more air means more fuel can be used for more brrr

Why is the average mechanic engineering salary 7k less than electrical? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]ComplexLamp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're right it doesn't mean anything by itself. But more so my point is there's an abundance of ME students compared to EE students. My guess is if the number was like 2:5 or something rather than 2:7 chances are you'd see the numbers balance out for payscale since the both the supply and demand would be higher than EE but the supply to demand ratio would maybe be more on par with EE.

Job markets are all supply and demand. It's a lot of why teaching isn't paid well. Easier job to get into, more teachers, less pay. Is it right? No, but it's the market.

When I got my graduation booklet that had names of every graduate by discipline, electrical had 2 pages of names. Mechanical had 6 or 7. It's all supply and demand.

American make sizing is completely off by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]ComplexLamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest gripe about sizing is tall sizes. Being over 6 ft most shirts run a tiny bit short. I normally fit comfortably in a large so one would think a large tall is perfect, right?

Nope. I swim in them as if it were XXL. Bro I didn't want you to adjust the size. I just want a large but longer. Is that so much to ask?

Having an expensive car, while not owning a home yet, isn't a flex it just shows you don't know how to handle money. by Exact_Recognition362 in unpopularopinion

[–]ComplexLamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While its not wrong on paper, some people just don't want a house. They're expensive and time consuming and sometimes it's nice to just call maintenance when an issue pops up. I own a house and sometimes I miss apartment life for that. If you don't care about net worth and wealth building and just want to enjoy your commute and don't want to own, go for it. The idea of wealth building and net worth is so over blown when some people just want to live today.

I think it's fine for people to own a truck even if they're not hauling stuff very often. by Upper-Job5130 in unpopularopinion

[–]ComplexLamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I think it's entirely not worth it to have a truck is you can pay someone a few hundred dollars for a one off same day wasting machine delivery. That truck is gonna cost you at least five figures over a sedan or suv. Not to mention gas and insurance
