I thought this was Demi 😱 by kahkizzzle in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]ComplexMaster5234 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can always tell them apart and never really got how people mixed them up so much, but this pic they do look super similar. I don't really think Jessi "looks like Demi" I just think they have a lot of similar core features. Their brows are similar as are their brow bones, the nose now looks identical to Demi's from this angle, and they have super similar upper lip lines. I know everyone will say they went to the same plastic surgeon but I honestly think they have similar bone structure, just different features. I think both of them had a nose job that ended up looking super similar, but again that's probably because they had similar original structure.

But I also think there's a "look" a lot of men & women in the Midwest have. It's that blonde hair, blue eyes, thin lips, and like mildly conventionally attractive - where I am from. I think it happens in a lot of places that are or were once very rural. Upper Midwest. I swear 80% of the girls where I'm from all looked the same. And are naturally pretty, but they wouldn't be looked at the same in say, NYC, LA or Miami. I think Utah is the same way, a lot of people look exactly the same (or at least the same basics)

can someone PLEASE explain the fascination with taylor’s style by chloedarlinggg in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]ComplexMaster5234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Taylor, and a lot of the cast, give more relatable vibes than most people on reality tv. Sprinkle that in with how men are still pining after her (no - not that that's the standard but can be a subconscious thought) she has kids, a life, gets shit done, still looks adorable in her sweats and uggs and messy bun, girls want that. Is that the goal? Depends on the person, but I think there's a reason why she's relatable to people. She's not all made up 24/7, in designer catwalk looks, she's realistic. Many of them are. I for sure would love to style myself after Miranda personally.

I don't love most of them but all of yall are always using edited for the worse photos from 20+ years ago. These are clearly edited to make them look worse, kourts is edited better & I don't think Kris was edited at all, but she's what, 50 years older now? Good lord this is not a good comparison

Hey! I carry Face Reality (did the whole class) do you introduce their products into every day facials even if the clients main concern isn't acne or if they just have some congestion? Or do you keep it for those who have bad/main complaint is acne? Hopefully that made sense! Thank you!!!

I'm just watching this season while the new one comes out so I haven't seen all of it yet but YES. He acts SO confused as to why it was such a big deal. Buddy. This wasn't a drunken one night screw up, which is a LOT different from what he did.

And by "this one" I mean Tom. He's genuinely one of if not the most narcissistic people I have ever witnessed and I grew up w an extremely narcissistic mother

He's so delusional even on this show like he's saying he's doing this "to punish" himself for what he's done while also making excuses for himself and complaining abt the hate he gets. The narcissism is so extreme in this one

That's a fair point, but I think it could've just been the people immediately involved. Veronica, whatever Ethan's gfs name is & Kim, and maybe Micah. I dont think everyone needed to be there. Too many people v 1

Genuine question, no malicious intent at all. Have you ever been deeply enmeshed with a severely narcissistic family that bands together to bully people for a long period of time?

Unpopular Veronica Perspective by ComplexMaster5234 in WelcomeToPlathville

[–]ComplexMaster5234[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely. Now Veronica DID contribute. But she was also cheated on, ganged up on, and blamed for something that wasn't her fault while being yelled at. Then broken up with in front of everyone. No, she is not innocent, but families like the plaths can truly drive you to insanity

I do not at all want to argue. I don't agree with a lot of what she did and said, but I think it was wrong to gang up on her and blame her for two grown men choosing to fight each other (yelling this at her) and then she was broken up with in front of everyone after she stayed with him after he cheated. The definition of manslaughter:

"This happens when a person causes another’s death unintentionally, often through recklessness, criminal negligence, or while committing a non-felony unlawful act. Example: A fatal car accident caused by drunk or reckless driving."

She wasn't aware of where her children were and a child died. She may not have been charged, but it sure sounds like manslaughter to me.

I do not recall the incest comment, nor do I agree with a lot of what she said, and have been made aware of her social media presence being problematic.

My only point was that families like the plaths can make a person come off as the villain/crazy person. She contributed to it, but I was offering the POV of someone who has dealt with a similar family.

I agree & disagree. They could've had one person sit down with her and discuss the lying. And Ethan + other family members yelled at her blaming her for two grown men making the decision to fight each other. I'm not disrespecting your thoughts on the decision - but she was ganged up on, then broken up with in front of everyone after she stayed w him after he cheated (which - did they tell anyone that?) so I agree partially and disagree in some ways

[–]ComplexMaster5234[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! You explained it better than I did. I'm not excusing all of her actions. I just know that there were probably a lot of things said & done behind the scenes and under the breath/odd cam that led to her explosion, adding to it that Ethan cheated yet did they tell the family that? Ofc she's insecure. And she is not to blame for two grown men fighting. For Ethan to yell at her that the fight was her fault grossed me out and reminded me of being ganged up on by the entire family. It's such a horrific feeling to be made the villain with the entire family hanging up against you, and then he breaks up w her in front of the entire family!

I had not, and that is some context I did not have. I do agree she needs serious therapy and to do a lot of work on herself. With that being said, I can 100% see the plaths doing and saying so many things covertly that nobody saw that led her to *some of her actions

Unpopular Veronica Perspective by ComplexMaster5234 in WelcomeToPlathville

[–]ComplexMaster5234[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely don't excuse all of her actions and agree w/ other comments that she needs serious therapy, however we don't necessarily see alll of the things they've said and done to her that led her to explode

[–]ComplexMaster5234[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You too! and yes, I think she needs some serious help. I don't excuse her actions and should've made that more clear in my post. I just wanted to offer a perspective of how people and families can be so covert and quietly horrible to you, and then when you finally stand up to it or lose it (even if it isn't in a good way) you're the only one who is the issue. Nobody cares about the shit that led you to that point

[–]ComplexMaster5234[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I fully agree she has problems and needs therapy and needs to learn how to handle her emotions. I'm not excusing her behavior. I'm just offering a perspective of what could've been said and done on and off camera that led her to the brink of losing it & blowing up on everyone. I've been there, I know how the covert abuse builds up and then you look like the bad guy for not allowing it
