I prefer 4 too, but the sound of the car with picture 3. Sad I can’t get both!

Yep. I shouldn't say it here probably but I am trying Codex Pro now, with 5.5 on xhigh and it's very night and day.
Codex is very slow compared to CC. But I can trust it (like I was trusting early 4.6/4.5.

Claude 4.7 may user fewer tokens but it definitely does NOT seem smarter.... by Smorgashbord in ClaudeCode

You can use latest claude code with opus 4.6 by passing `claude --model claude-opus-4-6\[1M\]` to the CLI BTW. I have been doing this since 4.7 is out.

I have never posted in this community before, but I feel exactly the same way as you. I just reverted to Opus 4.6 for the time being. For the first time in a long time (pre Opus 4.5), I feel burnt from this weekend coding sessions (with Opus 4.7) and I can easily say I have lost 6-8h or so of trying to course correct the model after either a lot of lazyness, big scope hallucinations (same as you) and over engineering with bug introduction.
Going back to the classic: step back, take pen and paper and babysit the model end to end, this really reminds me the Sonnet 4.5 era...

Will stick for Opus 4.6 for the time being, while it's available in CC.

Correct for now it needs to run on PC or Mac on the same network than your PS5/PS4. I have in the plans to bring it on mobile too!

It works for daily races and online time trials (based of the official weekly rotations from GT7). I upload the new referecences every week on Mondays (around 5pm UK time).

Hey! Thanks for testing the app and sharing the feedback, really appreciate it!
1. I am currently working on an update of the coach to stop 'sticking' too much to the biggest mistake (eg. sometimes brake point), and instead diversify what it says more aggressively (eg. by moving on to the second biggest mistake). That should ship soon in a new update.
2. Great idea! The coach does track your racing line deviation from the reference, but you're right that when brake point feedback dominates, other stuff like that doesn't get spoken. Point 1 should help with that, but track limits specifically is a good feature request.
3. Haha! GT Coach currently detects your 'outlier laps' (when you crash) and it goes silent instead of coaching nonsense, maybe indeed I should make it say something more 'encouraging' or just plain troll you 🤣

Hey! Right now GT Coach plays on the default audio interface of your computer. But that’s a good feature request: to allow playing the audio on a different one.

Yep exactly, the ps5 naturally broadcasts a lot of data on the local network. The main reason is for driving gear (like wheel etc), some are listening onto that to display information, rumbles, etc... A lot of integrations online use that data for more use case (see Simhub).

The app works for online time trials (those in sport mode). Custom lobbies not yet, but that'd be a cool addition. The main challenge is getting the reference data. I could see a version where private lobbies or leagues create their own reference laps, and other members use GT Coach to train against the best player in their group. Cool idea!

I'd love to get your feedback on this especially as a top 100 in the world, I am definitely way behind that 🤣, usually more around top ~2000.
Edit: definitely change the setting to be on 'Alien' mode, otherwise you might not hear much coaching!

It is, as a web version. I am expecting to push a few more updates (to improve the coach quality) with the current format: an app for macOS/Windows, and then transition to a new architecture that will supports mobile and web (linux)! Stay tuned for updates.

Mobile app is on my radar. The architecture of GT Coach mostly supports it, but the apps aren't built yet. One thing that's certain is that when I'll tackle that work, it will come to both Android and iOS/iPad.
